A Claim (day 2843)

It was not my claim,
Not could it ever have been
To be lost with controlled madness
On a motorcycle
Going fifty kilometers per hour.
The roads were too dusty,
Too slow,
Too quiet for forgiveness
To be called out
In a manner that did not support
Each dying ember of humanity.
And the glasses were of the new world,
A signal for misunderstanding
– Modern mythological errors
Combed with a brush of the future.
I merely sat there,
I did not dust off the seat
I did not wear deceiving clothes
I did not paint my hair black
Or red or green or blue,
And my wings ever grew
Until I no longer sat alone
Accompanied by history untold
That whispered flickers
Of a language with no words
To my clouded eyes
Laid bare.

Foggy and Departed (day 2806)

For sense I needn’t rely
I’ve gone a long while without
They live within my holy vision
Foggy and departed
So far away, I’ve gone with courage.

A walk I took left me angrily
Fuming at the mouth;
What evidence did I have
To return to depth?
I needn’t tarry here too long
I’ve lost my dearest friend.

Windows took me to
A spot upon great vision’s edge
Dancing with friend’s I’ve lost
– How dare I come back here?

Though most dust had settled down
A whirlwind to my mind
Caught me plotting my demise
Caution off into wind.

Ground (day 2777)

I am the age of an ancient warrior
Inspect me from the ground
Grind my bones to dust around
That build you a new throne
Take me to Olympia
To seek ritual truth
Take me from the goats up high
To bury me in sound
Fashioned from steel and stones
Forever in the ground

Great Departure (day 2630)

Watched a blue sky tonight
Float away into dust
With starlight making it’s entrance
While sunlight rusted on
Carrying a short winged bird
Off into thy nether woods
Calling ahead to share
Evenings bounty, a full gathering
And though I worked long hard hours
Though I toiled away the day
Coming dusk soothed thy bones
A pleasant surrender thus I depart

To An End (day 2597)

Walked the seas and weathered the rain
Woke up in morning’s frost
Felt snowflakes upon my nose
Hot sun upon my ears
Wind blew off my worn out hat
Dust flew in my eye
Humidity soaked me inside out
Shriveled me up like a raisen
Saw through twenty three hours of darkness
Never slept for twenty four days straight
Walked upon burning sand
Slept upon jagged rocks
Met a mosquito in a spiders web
Fell into a great bear’s den
Entangled by a caterpillar’s cocoon
Demonized by a shadow
Yet still I look for tomorrow’s bread
As today has come to an end.

Beneath My Vein (day 2537)

I want to close up beside you
Remaining deeply inside my head
And have no words to explain my love
Yet the tingling sensation running through my hands
At the presence of your electricity
Collapses my senses
Opening a new world up
To the difference in my heartbeat
Your proximity supports.
You wont talk to me
For our words have spoken past their time,
Their dust rather intoxicating
As flutters of imagination
Play deeply in our loud eyes
That close softly in the darkness
Where silouettes outline the impulses
I’ve always dreamed and had
To where I’ll find my belief structure
That shall run deep beneath my vein.

Rocking Chair (day 2508)

Soon we will be done
Floating senselessly in ritual
Buried deep in our catch-up
That niether makes sense
Or rolls smoothly
Just a monotony that drawls
As a smooth Southern Man
Takes his whiskey
Seamlessly sweeping into time
Along a homestead porch
Watching a dust storm
Sitting in a rocking chair.

Whom Calls Us Home (day 2491)

Your cosmic dust roars around my fire
Spinning vortexes before my eyes
That gasp and exhale
As a thunderous Goddess
Taking solace in this darkened dance
Excitedly played upon the wall.
How good it feels, your warmth
That laps at the edges of my own sanity,
Spinning, my thoughts reach out
Grabbing your dangling hairs
While my ecstasy builds
So as to be just like the moon
Whom calls each of our moments home.
