Reworking (day 1497)

I think this is awakening.
I think this is a dream: popped,
A sudden realization about future,
Prospects, history, essence, a being
Requiring full appraisal,
Reworking.

An understanding that even though
My heart beats so full for life,
It must also fill a life so full.
Relieving an overburden in distractions
Like a day spent in the garden.
Re-evaluation.

Fix a Heart (day 1496)

Did I turn my heart around?
Did I let it lay me down?
Did I voyage, far, across this world
To be my Maiden’s crown?

One could surely fix a heart
Upon a stone so sound;
Let it beat, unto the end!
A thousand kingdoms strong.

And if dark night should come upon
A light that was so bright,
We’d know it as the beacon so
That guided us onward home.

To look upon the sheets so clean,
The pearls so radiant!
A lover who had never shied,
Never chance nor desire to lament.

For as my edge of feelings sought
The tender touch of her wings,
Supine be my heart for her,
My lover’s breath always unspent.

Heart Flutters (day 1495)

A great confusion comes upon my heart
When I see you passing by,
As if the sky wasn’t blue enough
To alight me upon my way.
And then my thought is calmed again
In a way which I cannot say.
But still the thought of you –
As clear as day can bring –
Rests upon my mind,
Assuring me in all my trials
It’ll all turn out just fine.

Drift (day 1494)

A funny situation has left me struggling,
Self medicated anxiety turning yellow, brown and white.
Upside down and round and round,
There’s nothing left here now.
It used to be a lasting impression
Behind safety walls and rusty cars;
Tall grass means it’s summer.
I am a drifter,
Drifting whisper,
Into my drift I sweat.

Floating Home (day 1493)

I am floating as if observing
And not returning home.
I am a ruffling cloud nearing dusk
Upon a serene and hot evening
At the lake smelling like campfire.
I am nonsense trickling off into night
In rattles and clacking,
As lonesome restlessly lays naked
Aside discarded sheets
And a light layer of sweat.

Pocket Watch (day 1490)

I’m starting to lose focus on time,
Like the 99 heading straight to Nowhere.
The capital city of: I’ve never been there.
Anger, danger, regret, strength,
Oblivion in a massive entanglement
Of red arrows and pick up sticks.
There was some antidote
As time slipped it’s age-old
Abbra-cadabra magic betwixt
Reason and murder, holy truth and destiny.
I can’t pass this challenge
Even though my perfect pocket watch
Clicks an even tick at high-noon.
I love, but this is no love.
Entangled with soul and wisdom,
Heartbeat to a slow beat
With loose morals and fast cars,
I’ve come too far to remember
My dotted lines without headlights.
I am not a man.
I’m a ’69 Camero with hot love in the back seat.

Backward Bend (day 1489)

I want you like a snake curls,
As a peacock never ends.
I’ve made a million signs to the world
I’m waiting for just one.
Truth beyond this harmony
In a street of mystery;
Forgot an innocence only
To play abandon in the long grass;
A misconception I have waited for,
No devil I ignored.
Head to tail in a loop,
Head to tail backward bend.

Pandora’s Equinox (day 1488)

On the ni’ of equinox
A solstice be thy summer’s name
Flood my gates with sacred hearts
Soul be in thine orchestra.

And dancers of Pandora’s secrets
Lay thee interests – deeply furrowed,
Upon thy stage for moonlight glow
Which pierces hearts and spares no souls.

A love shall lift thee like a sun!
A love shall unite life into one!
To where all sounds soon taper off
Into night’s celebration: dancing decadence.
