Letter’s in the mail to a woman I’ve never met
Confessed it all in one fifteen letter script
Could this have just been a trick?
Sloppy like the moon on a dreary midnight
A newly appointed butler hanging upon my every word
Carried it too far for I’m an ant within the bathroom
Headphones on a slow bus lost in darkness
Two beats I keep tapping on the wooden sided seat
I’m still working on a better wrong
And tomorrow I’m going to have a word with the mailroom.
Month: February 2018
Dramatic Sadness (day 2466)
We shuttered with sadness
Though we knew it wasn’t true
Closing drafty doors
That kept slowing our progress
Dancing in less than
45 degree angles
Producing a catastrophic effect
Upon the cleverly elevated
Though we knew it wasn’t true
We shuttered with sadness
Ode to a Tick (day 2465)
Dangling in an unseen way
You’re mightier then a spider,
You’re like a cut
Deep in a vein
Unable to stop its let.
And just as cool
You sink your claws
Into some juicy skin
Where, unwillingly,
You’ll let go your hold
When, relentlessly your pulled
Off such succulent skin.
Chiang Mai Run (day 2464)
Here I was, settled Chiang Mai
Moat circles and rotee midnights
Two wheels of 4 speed steel
And Seven Pounds for a beer
As Chang takes the stage
For a little place of my heart
As we burn one down.
Nakinee and who we are
Wat Umong steps to sacred earth
For who we are is who we are
We state our place and live our earth
Unending ouroboros in rebirth
Mounting Wat Pha Lat daybreak hike
Take my hand and let the sun
Mae Sa waterfall forever run
Whenever time ceases to tock
Left turn down a dusty road
Find ol’ Tanin Market stalls
Warorot for new shoes
And by nightfall make sure to be
At the sauna for a steam
For if you do the walking street
You’ll run right out of things to buy
Coconut and metal chang
Iron bell and another tee.
And in the morn you’ll know I’ll be
At Jikko for an espresso pulled
Through Akha Ama finely ground
Strumming out a song I know
With some friends who sing along
Starting off the day with fun
Khao Pad J for a quick lunch
Thus a day begins again.
Reaction (day 2463)
You know we’ve got a connection
When we’re having a reaction
Laying in the summer breeze
Here I’m growing old
Let’s dine on sun and forever run
Into our modus operandi
With a Bite (day 2462)
I’ve found midnight in perspiration
A translucent effect
On the underside of passion
Two folds between these legs
Heat lingering like a tongue
Touching fantasy with delight
A finger in the night
With your grasp holding me
Flirting edges of my nipple
With a bite and now I’m gone
Destiny (day 2461)
What took you to this destiny
Your wings have let you free
Wondering what made you grow
Large and green I wonder how
Lasting so all summer long
Curling up and falling down
Round and round goes every root
Water tapped mycelium
Green I see your destiny
Crux For Your Habit (day 2460)
I was born a liar –
Ten thousand bones
Sticking out of my skin.
Bad, unscrupulously,
With a hex for every breath;
Sin by the mouthful,
And a crux for your habit
Of econoline wealth;
For a vision of darkness
To wash it on down.
I Am Angry (day 2459)
I am angry at the Americans
For making the world one big party
And leaving all their spending
Polluting our fields of plenty
I am angry at the Chinese
For building these resorts
For walking down the streets
Disrespecting different cultures
I am angry at Canada
For lying to with a smile
Rolling out the red carpet
Though the green flag flies high
I am angry at the Petrols
For neglecting human health
For letting all these diesel fuels
Spilling into atmosphere
I am angry at the Youth
For not taking hold the change
For not demanding to know better
Though they stand up for pop cult
I am angry at the Voices
Speaking so strongly inside
Obviously in rhythmic lies
I am angry at the Religious
Who say their faithful
Are more right and devout
Who align their one clear path
Though they preach unanimous love
And acceptance for all those left
I am angry at Myself
For not knowing how to stand
Though I see clearly my knees
That rest here in the shade
Looking Down (day 2458)
What breaks my heart
Again I’m here to silence me
A dream I had to wash away
Valium of a memory
For which is here I cannot see
Without much more than a dream
Run away like diamond’s light
I won’t look back again
The music’s on to penetrate
And here I’m looking down.
