A symphony of destruction broke into this heart
(a firm grip)
Which wasn’t available to remark
Due to insubstantial evidence;
Lack of memory.
Foreboding like distant clouds of electricity,
A smile lept into a place of fear
Which departed like a slick lover
Amidst heated darkness.
To which the happy couple waltzed on,
Around and around until fire held the lover’s
Freshly waxed mustache and
Used-car-garage-black dancing shoes
(no scuff marks),
Turned fast lindy hop
Which left our heroes glistening
(jacket casually over shoulder)
Upon a midnight jaunt
About the seaside boardwalk
Amidst leftover lovers and fellow romancers
(deeply involved).
Month: May 2015
Science World at Dusk (day 1466)
Triangulated globe
Flashing gold
Amidst alchemy
Depths of Un-Answers (day 1465)
Deep sunk my undertow
Lay out claws
That pull apart
My open soul –
Pins about my arms.
Place crawling ants
At my feet
Where I wont fall
Into those clasps;
End your heart into
Steaming piles of crustations,
And let it fall apart
Into depths of un-answers.
Doors (day 1464)
Coyote, I have a calling
I have no saying
Nothing to relate
To be told what to do
Do you remember where I walked?
What houses I stopped at?
What doors that opened
And which ones you then shut?
Air Mail (day 1463)

Warm Summer Eve Memories (day 1462)
Where have I seen you before?
I’m sure I’ve had you walk through my heart
For some time
With those light steps leaving such an impression.
Tha-thump tha-thump (heartbeat)
Your heartbeat sings choruses
That zig-zag up and down these zipper walls
Made for flexing, made for dancing,
Made for hanging by two hands grasping
Horizontal beams stretching side to side.
And I waltz on
With a memory of top hats and devious winks
Singing me softly
Into warm summer’s eve.
The Death of a Lady (day 1459)
She lost grace
When vibrant hearts were left
Feeling peace
Without her
All Night Long (day 1458)
There are leftover bottles
Sitting on a dusty piano
Forgotten in the corner
Singing heartfelt bluegrass
To drunken loners
Habitually smoking
Leftover cigarollas
From playboys and their lovers
Who wore deep pocketed holes
In a beer stained dance floor
That sang hip songs
From an old jukebox
With burnt out numbers
Shuffling in the corner
All night long.
