The Road Home (day 221)

After the alpine air has swam through lungs
Cleaned the soul with white crystal slopes
The road home is always long

Head swarming with white untouched snow
The rest, though, indeed is glorious
Feet in the air, recounting events

Times like these create bonds
Stronger than beers, stronger than words
Remember me, lets share bliss again

Powder (day 220)

It starts with a clip
Then follows by a push
Along the ridge
We traverse the face
Finding speed in
Little jumps for gravity
And then
When all seems to far and gone
When all boundaries have been crossed
The drop
Fresh powder filled turns
Eating up my presence
My full being enveloped in each turn
Swooping, whooping, and cruising
Until the trees are reached
Then, a galloping piece of radical history
Works it’s way through tight corners
Finding around blind trees
Little pockets of untouched glory
This never gets old
This will never end
This is the search that life is for

Snowboarding Trip (day 219)

From far beneath the timbre line
I start the journey up
Up up along the line
I weave on through the trees
Soon the wind
Howling so loud
Beats my face with fury
And all at once
I jump the ship
And battle my way down the hill
With instant action
I barrel forward
Into the white unknown
Every corner
And Every wind trap
Sends me flying into the air
But the beauty of flight
In such conditions
Is every landing is padded with snow!

Mercy (day 218)

I can still sit here and die
I can still sit here and cry
I can still sit here and ball up my mercy
And chain weights to my ankles

I can roll up the money
I can tie up the anger
I can embrace the holy seed that runs
And jumps upon the dusty ragged car

Leave me your sandy shoes
Your beach towel that floats upon your shoulder
Lead me to the prayer tree
Sturdy and singing for me tonight

I can sit here and try
I can sit here and drive
I will sit here and ball up my mercy
And chain weights to my ankles

The Search; The Path (day 217)

When you borrow your blanket
Don’t ever fight the threads that tickle your nose
Let the light wind collapse over your furrowed brow
And rest your pretty curls on my open chest

At last, I’ve waited here for you
I’ve set the table with its places
I’ve lit the candles; welcomed you in
Oh lord, let the sun shine down

When I come again, in another time
I’ll let your eyes hover close
Let your fire flare up
Lets make good and well to the news tonight

A new wind cools our sails
The rise above fits deep within
The railroad creeks on as we circle our life begin
And you, and me, we seek within

Home (day 216)

Home runs deep
Home speaks whispers
It holds your hand
And feeds you when you’re hungry

Home calls your name
It brings you out of the cold
Into the depths of love
Home runs deep

Home doesn’t require gifts
Home brings health
Home shows you with hugs
Everything will be all right

I’m home now
I’m here but I wont stay long
I won’t leave it behind, though
Home runs deep with me

Yuletide (day 215)

The holidays
Yuletide care
Bring out the charm
Loved ones dare
Attention is given
Toward the presents
And all but forgotten
The meaning of giving
It’s not a chore
To rid of at last
It’s a thought, a need
That is filled in with love
We remember not thoughts
But a burden of debt
A propagation of lust
A desire we’ve been told
Lets grow our own hearts
To a size of a tree
Lets share our time
With the ones that we love

Life Seed (day 214)

Below your needs and wishes and desires
Sneaks a long legged bastard with evil desires
Screaming the devil and riding with bulls
Our roaming handles ride out in style

Along the gravel roads
Wisdom pulls at the rocks
Polluting the desire wheels
And holding onto the plan

Don’t let the train run through these hills
Clogging the damned marshes to bulldozed highrises
As far as we’ve planned and disregarded omens
They aren’t going hiding, our wisdom within

Please let the elders speak feelings freely
Hold onto the deep thoughts from within
Random encounters that plant a seed
Life seed that joins all nature as one
