Fever (day 2937)

I work now with a fever;
One single moment with my eyes closed
Produces an entire universe
That flickers before me,
Four seasons ten fold,
And a crystal blue sky
That wakes me with a smile
To tell me that I’m not alone today.
My nimble hands twist,
Grip, Dance,
And tighten around the wet cloth
Attached to my loins
Cooling the pitch
Of which I sing at.

Lost and Blurred (day 2925)

The road lost me here
Too many turns
And too many good songs
Singing to me
Through four speakers
And four tweeters.
Windows rolled down
To Day’s hot wind,
Never able to escape
Sun’s firey glare.
My eyes dazed
On Highway’s glaze,
And your arms
Never quite let go
As I looked on, after you
Departing in flesh
But long from forgotten.
And the good songs
Carry on
Over my Mind’s hum
Blurring the wheels
Passing me on by.

Greatest Plan (day 2742)

The world came
Just as quickly as it could
Left me singing
Down a never found me road
For each was left
Just like each was new
And late in the night
Coyotes howl at the moon.

In the early day
I woke wide eyed and clear
Just as before
I couldn’t see or even hear
Then I took a breath
Put on my favourite shoes
Prepared myself
For another damn good day.

I said here
Was all I needed to fill
For within me
All I needed to get on
With each new chord
There was a setting sun
That took my hand
With my greatest plan.

Take (day 2736)

This did not grow up as a chemical
We were legs and arms that took too long
But that’s the end of a string
I didn’t bring nor did I sing
But I stood there like sweet nicotine
With salt between my fingertips
That had a history of danger
So take my hand that’s never left
Joking in my Sunday best
Take me on a pleasure ride
Along the hidden tide of your good time
Take me to the ocean rise
With your breasts and lips so sensitive
Catch me in an open book
That reads like the sweet look
You’ve given to me, carrying me
Roads to anywhere that lead me to harmony
For I’m taken here with you
And I’m resting on a rock
In the middle of my thoughts
With you and a dog that took me along
Have you seen what hides in the field
What grows in between, down on the ground
My tidy shoes and a singing guitar
Take me along.

My Fire (day 2725)

I’m not singing for my lungs
Though they burn with desire,
No, the sweetness has left me hoarse
That burns like whipping dirt
Blowing about this barren desert.

It used to come in fits
Where I’d collapse in imagined euphoria
I had never before experienced.

My dreams lay me still here,
Though I cry out
With the neighbours howling hound,
As singing awaits
Within the embers of my soul
My fire remain unconvinced
That this landscape
Deserves such escape.

I Knew You (day 2697)

If only we would have found us before I left
This long journey that kept me rolling over
To see a deep brown eyed wish for an evening.

I recall each new passing moon rise
Where soft voices sing me aside
Left open to a wish I had you here
In a ever waltz around an empty room I grew
So fondly amidst unwritten spaces
For some of our un-lived memories
Carry each their new meaning home.

For I knew no other, I knew you.

Hold On, Along (day 2647)

The season of your mind
Has taken me along the way
To run home
To sing with you
Each picture that I take to paint
Reads me another happy day
Wishes and your other way
I’ll save a seat again
To remind me I’m awakening
A better version of me
So I can hold on for three
Then I’ll never see
What could take so long
Hold on, hold on I’ll be.

Gardening (day 2625)

Gardening is for lovers
It is not for somebody who hates the world,
Cant stand to wait
Intermingling with chaos
In a fabric of life.
Gardening is for those who see the world,
Smell the sun,
Walk around with silent footsteps
To not scare the birds
Who sing so beautifully
For worms beneath the earth.
Gardening is for those who feel the wind,
A sweet summer lustre
Mixed with tobacco falsettos
Amongst little poplars.
Gardening is for the lovers
Who sit down side by side
And smile amidst sunflowers and cabbage
Like the silty loam soil
Made them to be.
