Goodmorning, Mother Nature (day 745)

Your delicate drops
That drip about my window
Waking my slumber
Shaking my cobwebs
Keep rhythm for me

My heart finds
Its speed again
While curious crawls
Across steaming
Bits of wooden jungle

Sun beckons
Warming exposed skin
Like uncurling leaves
Surviving off stray beams

Feathered fellows
Sing one another
Delightful passages
Freshly reciting
For days full of life

And you say to me
Goodmorning

Johnny Johnny Say-So (day 673)

Tulip too long
I’ve grown a song
For you, it’s done
And it is long

The day does shine
As we break rhyme
Jesters of mine
We pass the time

Watch as I roll
A simple stroll
One modest toll
Where I dare loll

Aha! You see!
We can not flee
You there and me
So full of glee

No road shall end
No man shall bend
We sew and mend
Don’t dare offend

You see, my guest
With all the rest
Courtly the best
You say I jest?

Not I, I say
On this fine day
I walk and play
It is my way

We walk and sing
And cowbells ring!
Up up we swing
Then down laughing!

A Bird In The Morning (day 431)

The bird awakes as the dew is still fresh
Clinging to the little hairs that sense danger
Shaken at once to ensure all is still alright

Wouldn’t that be something
To set oneself into flight upon a new day
And find out too late about failures

All along the country side
The other little birds also wake
Repeating the same ritual from evenings slumber

Through the valleys it is heard
Such music that only nature can create
Like splashes deep within the forest
The birds morning is always in chorus

Perhaps the other wild animals
Rely upon the bird for mornings glory
Perhaps they also revel in the song

I Asked A Girl (day 394)

I asked a girl to fall in love with me today
She didn’t answer my question
Instead she waved, as her train rumbled on
From her window seat into tomorrow

I asked a girl to fly away with me today
She cried: “It’s not fair, you’re there and I’m here”
We then continued, as we had before
To talk of our luck and fortune

I asked a girl to sing to me
For I had heard her sing before
She blushed for me, smiled a little
The heaved a great big breath

I asked a girl to walk with me today
Into the park beyond the houses we see
She grabbed my hand and swung with glee
As we stepped into the light of the day

I asked a girl to hold me tight today
She complied and wrapped me up real tight
I didn’t ever want to let go of that
So it’s here, that I stay, forever

A Bird (day 381)

Today I saw an angel flying
It had two wings of fame
It spoke to me
In high pitched tones
It rapped about the glass
I held my hand
It landed close
The world was ours to share
But tomorrow
It shall return
I too shall sing its song of the earth
Memories shall grow old together

These Dreams (day 176)

I want to run my hands
Along the coast of your heart
Down the ridge of your back
Along the peaks of your curves

I want to create these memories
Like sun baked carvings in the sand
Washed away with time
It was about the game rest assured

I want to traverse these cliffs
With the gravity of your kiss
Propelled with your hands
Gently urging me forth

I want to lounge in these valleys
Where the grass does grow deep
I want to lounge in these valleys
I want to sing with these trees

Unfinished Business (day 168)

I remember
I hold
I used to sing late at night
I used to hold memories as if they could comfort me

Now
Now I keep telling myself
Whats been has been
No need to forget just move on
No need to wallow just move on
No need to listen just believe

The pieces that once were
Never were

The pieces that have hit the floor
Were never me
