I shall not live in a desert;
My barren land doth not make clear,
Nor doth skies hold down tears.
No, abyss joins the delicate dance
Of wildflowers and hills
Vibrantly flowing down antelope runaways
And into the heart of my soul
That casts away tumbleweeds
Fearlessly, with purification
Given freely by water
– Plentiful and valuable elexir –
Escaping the death do us part.

Ode to Rainfall (day 2658)
For you to begin
Means life can begin
Means your open waves
Flush out our open growth
Greenery, life, bounty
Aglow in the mist of it all
Where wildflowers grow
Where rivers flow
Where, cleansing,
Mountain passes erode and expose
New meaningful branches
That drip drops pulse
Of your giving force
To flood river deltas
That give to each ocean
What was once so far
Only to begin again
The cycle of evaporation,
Condensation, rainfall.
Middle of the Lawn (day 2305)
With you on my mind
I remember what went wrong
Truth was misspent
And love was misplaced
Like a wildflower sprouting
Middle of the lawn
My song still on
Sun slowly rising
A walk down the street
And my heart just the same
Was loved and let go
Where the tale gets quite cold
And there you left me
With you on my mind.
Wildflower (day 2116)
Dancing through the Kingdom of Joy
Alone, the rupture had a sentence
A package of unexpected buoyancy
Laid about thy path.
Oh, shame shame the clouds have come
Accept thy fate and look back no more
Forgive each breath you once deplored
Let run deep thy river’s mane.
Stepping aside, a willow tree
Called thy name twice in vain
But on the third day, as time began
A shift in conscience pulled at thee.
Then with a rod of sixfold and reel
Twang at last, the pauper’s gold
Gifting all that had been told
Left alone in a field of wildflowers.
Sepulcher (day 1034)
Wildflowers come again
Waiting hot sun out of day
Tangling with Earth’s decay
Into our last abomination,
Our last sepulcher,
That carries discarded memories
[Written upon mountainous walls]
Forever, for there is no end.
