Beating Me Down (day 1331)

In the end, we never really know what we’re coming up against.
Like a thrill seeking pre-teen with ill conceived notions of danger.
…life ain’t a movie man. Life just ain’t like that.

So there we are, hanging out with our dicks up Five street.
I shot into darkness as if I knew this foreign lover language;
But never did skies open for my warmest of wishes.

Collapse! Collapse my dear lover, it’s gone on too far.
I’ve pushed to the end and I’m not quite back again.
…Whisper my madness with two squiggled lines to display it in this dust.

Misunderstanding again with my heart. It is drawstrings. It is amicable.
It is pleasing to eyes that only pray upon sunsets.
It is a thousand masterpieces; perfected.

I cannot hurry your authorship, for wind is at neigh and folly on the deck.
A thousand hungry scavengers await in lost calluses at bays end,
Like cavernous regions of our shoreline amidst Gaia’s sweetest affection.

Cower young souls, breath in foul punches of thine enemy,
Congruency only relays smartest on deftest of blokes.
Carry this lanyard on further, as wayward as you choose.

Heartbeat (day 1086)

What makes it easy?
Tied down like a northern sunset
Whispering softly at the moon.
Is it grass curls
That itch my yearning soul
Into an excited pit of
Frenzied loco-motion?
Or is the slow, unfurling
Heartbeat of Gaia’s necromancing
A long, sensual touch
From mine elbow to mine tips?
I whisper willows
As aging furrows
My easy, evermore.

Love Steps (day 1029)

What does it take to love you?
What does it mean to hold your heart?
Like a delicate silk perfectly folded
Into five evenly spaced sides
Without creases.

What kind of fingers dance, prance
About sticky honey-buckles?
Long strands of hair into the deepness of my soul.
For forever was a long drive
Straight West into sunset’s romantic heart.

What kind of foot pierces clear waters of a hidden brook?
What does the water taste like
After it drips off your tentative toes
Recoiling into giggles, riddling squirrels
Into silence.

Acceptance (day 903)

I am not the victim
Left hopeless in a pool of filth and inert shame
Wrong-doing receiver
Sad story and bitter ending

I am not the sufferer
Helplessly alone
Victim of circumstance
Aimless desires

I am not the casual
Random associations
Uninterestingly passive
Head down and walking

I am not the sober
Outcast
Big eyes and wide mouth
Annoyed

I am not yesterday
A lost wish
Crimson sunset
Or memories

I am acceptance

How Would We Spend Our Days (day 784)

But if I never held your hand
How would I know your touch?

But if I never spoke your name
How would I call you to me?

But if I never smelled your essence
How would I find my memories?

But if I never whispered lightly
How would I hear you call?

But if I never watched the sunset
How would I dream of you at night?

But if we never gazed afar
How would we ever smile together?

But if we never danced to slow songs
How would we spend our days?

Slumbers Edge (day 769)

And I the wild wonderer
In peace’s embrace
Sharing splendid solitude
With sunset’s hues
Tickling my toes
With warm lapping water
Pants then be rolled up
To half mast thy knee
And off in the distance
Summer night noises ring out
Young men of mischief
Swamp frogs lament
Bat fluttering hither
Mosquitoes racing thither
And across the calm lake
In desperate moments of light
The last mooring boat
Settles in for the night
Campfire left smouldering
In the wake of many (hot)dogs
And I, toes now dripping
Make my way to slumbers edge

Sunset (day 620)

Passion filled the sunset that night
Bursting out of control in the sky
Rupturing from the heavens onto earth
And splashing the vista with brilliance

Glory that struck the landscape
With curls around every tree
Silhouetted every rock
And painted every glass walled tower

Before the flag was sent skyward
Hue shifted into darkness
The sun rode on into tomorrow
And night grew eternal long

Save the Lives (day 613)

Click click twists, CLOCK
Snake the lock into my glock
Firing rounds that never stop

Yes today, not tomorrow
Your eyes fill up, all with sorrow
Line’s end, you’ve killed the sparrow

March march into the dark
Walk no more in sunset park
This man is off: a hungry shark

Blood for blood does not work
A spoon for soup, but not a fork
Save lives, love, let’s work
