The New Normal (day 3143)

This is the new normal
No handshake, no smile.
This is the new normal
Lineups with seperation
And stickers on the ground
Telling me which way to walk
Where to stand.
This is the new normal
Where by law
We are no longer able
To gather in groups
More than fingers on my hand.
This is the new normal
Where social distancing
And isolation
Are words of our common vocabulary.
This is the new normal
Where walking down the street
Closer than two meters
To a passing stranger
We get anxiety
That this stranger just might
Transmit to us
An unseen death card.
This is the new normal
Where government declares
A business can no longer stay open.
This is the new normal
Where humans no longer have
Medicine men and women
Available to help
Because their knowledge
Relies on the antidote.
This is the new normal
Where I pay a bank monthly
To hold onto my money
I have saved from spending
And told that method is safer
Than guarding it with my own life,
And that money
Is better in digital plastic
Infused and inflated
By central banks at will.
This is the new normal
Where the government
Of my home country
Feels the safety and security
Of its citizens
Comes after the solvency
Of its biggest industries.
This is the new normal
And we must resist.

I Am Angry (day 2459)

I am angry at the Americans
For making the world one big party
And leaving all their spending
Polluting our fields of plenty
I am angry at the Chinese
For building these resorts
For walking down the streets
Disrespecting different cultures
I am angry at Canada
For lying to with a smile
Rolling out the red carpet
Though the green flag flies high
I am angry at the Petrols
For neglecting human health
For letting all these diesel fuels
Spilling into atmosphere
I am angry at the Youth
For not taking hold the change
For not demanding to know better
Though they stand up for pop cult
I am angry at the Voices
Speaking so strongly inside
Obviously in rhythmic lies
I am angry at the Religious
Who say their faithful
Are more right and devout
Who align their one clear path
Though they preach unanimous love
And acceptance for all those left
I am angry at Myself
For not knowing how to stand
Though I see clearly my knees
That rest here in the shade

Filled With Stars (day 2423)

Why is it we lose our way
When the light’s turned off
And the song’s the same.
When the lion roars
It knows its call,
So our lonely nights
They are filled with stars.

When we have a chance
Do we raise our voice?
Do we stand up tall
And right our wrong?
Do we listen to our memories?
Our inner voice
That knows the stars.

There are signs for us
That show our way,
Shining as they are
So our souls can see.
They light our path
In our darkest hour,
So begin today
Watch for those stars.

Listening To Meanings (day 2407)

You know
I’m standing here
Trying to listen to you
Trying to break out
Of my vision
Crooked and skewed
To a daylight
I see arching over Doi Suthep
In rose filled monograms.
A lava lamp of discussion
Concentrates my colliders
That don’t give me a chance
To deconstruct meanings.
No,
A flow has taken
Over a system of flutters,
My boredom insulting purity
That rocks back and forth
And forgetting
Once again
An understated meaning.

Dripping (day 1544)

I am the elegant sign you’ve been off the deep end for.
Hanging on a railing, dipping into clear lakes,
Walking with the scent of sun-kissed-yellow tulips.

Trouble is a memory; blind leading, a road and I have faith.
Can you get a wild feeling on bad betting machine?
Sing songs with a quite tongue and I will listen for.

And it is here and I am evermore.
A spell of clear reflections of which I did implore.
And I stand here, just as morning, dripping for you.
