Diamonds and Ashes (day 1743)

I opened my eyes and in shined diamonds
Yet I could hardly wait
For my late date
Who ate pickles and jam on toast
To buckle her two shoes
As she counted to three
And played guitar on the leftover string
So I tiptoed
Down the sideways road
That whispered: “Let me in,
Let me in, let me in.”
And here I began
With my hand in the sand
To rub diamonds to pearls and ashes

Like Fire (day 1732)

I do not enjoy this closed solution
These open arms like fire
A road well worn in a town well shorn
And a voice long gone raspy.
Do you try so hard
To make the wolves howl loud?
I’ve seen a tree grow straighter
Then your twisted mind
And I’m closing down
This memory
That’s holding onto me like fire.

Storm is on the Ni’ (day 1696)

Weathered by the storm one night
I lay awake in bed,
Trusty steed loose outside
To fare for his warmth, amidst.
I’ve got a heart of gold and
I left my shoes tidy by the door.
Stayed up all night watching
Stars shoot through the sky,
And you told me twice that I
Had led you down the right road.
Now you come home and
Lay awake in bed,
Lay beside me when
Storm is on the ni’.

Mended Arrows (day 1667)

I’ve left out all my wiles
For a holiday in heaven,
A turn upon the road
To reach where my heart is still as still can be.

You, you were always forgiveness,
You were the mended arrow
A light beyond my vision
But illuminating my walk.

And how come I’ve been dreaming
Of a memory I’m believing
When I’ve got all of my stories
In a rucksack on my back.

There were twenty one good reasons
To hold onto the heathens
As they quickly walked on past
All in excitement and pure jubilee.

But you, you are plenty appealing
You hold me in good standing
And have brought me all my planning
That’s been brought out in the end.

So darling, reach out your good hand,
A wand of my believing,
To make my heart forever bleeding
As an arrow for your sweet light.

Journey’s End (day 1559)

A road as a passing song
Carried our fearless warrior on,
Deep as a jungle far
A dusty trail,
Hidden but not gone.
When the road turns its wiles away
Heavy hearts jump and start to say:
“Adventure is this that we have,
One and all, to journey’s end!”
So press on forth
Deepness within,
Make passion journey’s begin.

Rusty (day 1546)

I put into words the last drops of sunlight
That left my supine soul wandering alone
Face up on an old two-track dirt road
By a rusty water reservoir
Near the outskirts of town.
For me, I couldn’t understand the capacity
Of one single ray of sunshine
That drifted on from that barren landscape
Of my calmly coiled fingers.
I drew a large circle encircling my two nipples
Nearly touching my navel
– Which had the mark of an ancient blood line –
In order to continue calculating
My numbing heartbeat’s instinct
That would lead me from this enclosing darkness
Into a fiery nether region
I had witnessed during a tremor.

Trip to the Park (day 1537)

My windows slidescape at a furious pace
As little sentinels wave from overlooked nooks.
I’m a road warrior when the times get hard
But this is summer now, and these long backs
And bikini tracks are keeping me easy
With two shades of cool running down the side of
A sweating growler called picnic in the park.
I’m laying naked in her presence,
She’s entangling my mind as her long legs
Reach straight up at mine.
We biked here because our history depends on it,
So tempered with that, we find it irresistible
To not heed the folly in pushing sweet Gaia away,
Which, to those of us who mind the traffic,
Becomes about as obsolete as this empty bottle of summer.

Passion Journey (day 1535)

This road carries the weight
Of a passing song;
Our fearless warrior carried on.
Deep as jungle screams at dusk,
A dusty trail stays hidden but not gone.

A road turns its wiles away.
Heavy hearts jump and start to say:
Adventure is this journey’s end!
Press forth into within,
Make passion journey’s beginning song.

This Ain’t Your Road (day 1504)

This is strength.
This is a pivotal moment of heart beats
And feet, feet, feet
Into words, hearts.
We die lesser then nothings.
Of animals of instincts,
Of wrecking, no! Smashing defenses
In an offensive!
This is pure domination
With reckless ambitions
Hurting weakness,
Hunting challenge.
Fighting all the juicy tricks
With juicy tracks
Along the road of
You ain’t ever gonna be here, sucker.

Mic check.
