Golden (day 2912)

She was everything I had opened
Expecting and recovering
Wild flowers and green seaside
High above I saw her eyes
And the jungle began to swim
Swinging here in a garden night
Low light and pleasant song
Innermost said me to me
Lucky man, lucky day
Lucky sun came up for me
So there I was, it was a dream
Singing with my heart again
Raindrops heard away, outside
Golden in her hair.

Rent (day 2758)

A rainbow has landed by my chair
Two shades clearer than yesteryear:
Many cuts more the wiser.
And to my right there burns a fire
So emotive I saw the sun
That held me up as rain came down
Floundered in the far off field.
Then in the soup I had not made
But sat down to enjoy
I sang a song of lucky chance
Though no hardship saved my rent.

Just Maybe (day 1751)

I don’t want a perfect you.
I don’t want an imagination
Resting on commercialized ideals
And mis-spent laments.
No.
I want your messiness and chaos
And moments that urk me,
And crazy eyes and silent times
And hugs that will never end
Because forever is a time
I will be left thinking of you.
And just maybe,
If I count my lucky stars enough,
I will be right there
Next to you,
Smiling,
Winding my clock backwards
Elongating time to expand
These moments that make up you.

Overdrive (day 1632)

He’s got a memory that’s eating,
She’s got the car in overdrive.
He’s been on top of execution –
A silver goblet chasing her.
It’s one end into the other
And a sky that fills producer.
He’s been a picture in a locket:
A rebel – swallow hard,
He’s been a reason to escape here,
He’s led the movement from the start.
Escape into pure darkness,
He’s lucky he didn’t start this.
It’s been forever after,
Just like it’s from the start.

Lucky Lily (day 1394)

Who roameth among the curly haired
That lay about the shores,
Shall forever wear a lily placed
Carefully about their hair.
And if a suitor shall come upon
A maiden basking there
(Be it lost, be it strove,
Be it guided by knowing stars
Alight – bright! in the sky)
Lucky shall friends of friends
Who knew one once a while,
Whenceforth shall say,
Amidst pure joy,
Lucky’s in a heart so full.
