What spoke at me had not begun yet:
Shadows of midnight,
Forgotten years of destruction,
Long lineups of that which you can.
Into the light of gobsmack,
Can you be my midnight
If the Angel could alight?
Lost souls of yet spoken madness.
Be my witnessed sentry
Gallon of blood tonight.

Footsteps (day 1926)
Let me go there
Without the torment
Of a rising sun, low
Crowded dusty road
And I’m swimming
Way out past my soul.
One day I’ll be there
A small lineup with a ten
Guardian on the rise
And I’m seeing signs
With footsteps leading in.
Trying (day 1811)
I know I should take the bait
Take a long lineup of hardship
And exchange it for matching shoes
With couples pillows
And a constant strain
On the middleman
Who religiously writes me, nicely,
Every two weeks to tell me it’s OK
And leaves me wondering
What I had once thought
Was a romantic idea,
Because IKEA has enough assemblage
To make my choice just hard enough
That I won’t mind inspiration
Now filled with a cacti,
Leaving little room
For an inspired thought
That keeps me thinking I’m trying.
And I am trying.
Love Isn’t Four Letters (day 996)
Love isn’t four letters
Love doesn’t crawl up on hands and knees in chocolate
Love doesn’t smell like roses
Love doesn’t have a long lineup at the checkout
Love isn’t singular
Love isn’t fleeting
Love wakes up every day and sleeps with the moon
Love is expression
Love is happy even when there is no love
Love is a sparkle in the eyes
Love is a name about ones tongue
Love is a feeling
Half Way Tired (day 728)
Today I’m tired
Like the end of the lineup
Bottom of the hill
Half-way done
Watch checking
Eyes half closed
Sun coming up again
One houndred kilometers to go
Beer at noon
Kind of tired
It’s not like it’s that bad
After all
I packed so much good
Into today
I should be tired
Exhausted on the floor
Spread eagle
Unable to move
Force fed nutrients
Sleep will be good tonight
Long may it last
