Beyond (day 1190)

The long lines on my calendar
Tell me there’s trouble on the rise,
A big storm from heaven to hell
Brewing, rumbling, shaking these windows.

Eyes in the darkness blink.
Hades and Cerberus
Between my thoughts and time
Scatter the answers to unknown questions.

Aggrieve, my letters of sound reasoning.
All suspicious thoughts and delicate fantasies
Shall surface uncontrollably
Rearing like the plunging thunderbird.

Yet here time’s lines keep stretching on,
In spite my tariff for illustrious Charon
Clutched deep to my hearth,
I, simple and meager, shoulder my armor.

Southern Texas (day 1111)

You don’t get to where you are
By building holes in attics.
There’re Devils grinning here
At these temptations crossroads.
Like my organic lover
Chastised in a bed of thorns,
I am too beaten into blood-let confessions,
Loosened until I am deliberated.
Happy because I have heaven.
Can you whistle to me magic?
Woop-de-woop.
A lovers forever magnetic
And I’ve left for Southern Texas, mom.

There I Lie (day 889)

There I lie
Face turned towards the heavens imploring
Seeking questions
Yet written on my mind

Sun scattered eyes
Blurring crimson edges
Setting fire to
Out of focus pins and needles

Before deaths cry
Wind whispers shallow markings
On seasons frozen skin
Betraying movement

And forgotten
A heavy coat leaves
Memories
Without occupation

Galaxy Spins (day 849)

Join me as we sweep the shores of life
Fill our thoughts with the echoing moonlight
Walking its way along the banks of serenity

Hold my hand as we swim the warm fall water
Echoing through surrounding mountains
Full of heaven on earth, of sweet Gaia
Sparing her nectar amongst our naked bodies

Share with me as I delight in the stars
Dreams forever entangling our horoscopes
Tightly as the galaxy spins us ’round

Surrender as we bolden our destiny
Enriching its gay step with fruitful love
Eternities gates mobile as we proceed
Into bliss known to all as rapture

Last Chance Waltz (day 470)

Tonight I sit here
Waiting just a little too long
For the hour to strike gold
Heavens with angels
Gone home long ago
Now just the witching hour
Or the hopeful stay out

Blooming with pride
The young soldier
Head held high
Steps with direction
With admiration
And valor
And increased desire
To feel that
Which never was felt

Alone he waits
At the edge of the dock
Hoping for boldness
Knowing better
Rhinestones glitter
Through memories of yore
Thick with incense
Of tonight’s smokey dreams

Nai says the philosopher
Set in his stone
Knowing then too much
Knowing the bride and her luck
Would push forth
Whispers of happiness
Reverberated through streets
Where a lost lover sat
Drinking in the moon
Loving the last breath
Desperately grasping
At lost stones
Leather and black
That filled up glitter
Hidden deep beneath
The casket of the world
Seperated in wishes

Did we win out that game?
Did we spill forth
Into smoke filled streets
Like the dusk that ran over
The light of day
Did we win out at last
When fires began to blaze?
Who then shouted out
Hate filled words at our backs
Did we hear them
Or wish them off
As the beseacher in vain

This story did not unfold
For before love was tested
The dagger was forced in
Destiny was laid trap
Taking hold of the soldier
And filled the soul of
The sunken angel from heaven
Long been retreating
To fight off this disaster
Knowing all names
For the last dip into fame
Letting rest fate
In the wicker basket charmer
Philosopher of many throngs
Singer of many songs

And I
Bold and valiant
The soldier
Tried to keep up
As the lacey disguise
Threaded it’s way
Into the trampled sky
Such was the lover
Mystery in charm
