A Path (day 3016)

I wish for you to empty out
Each basket holding you back
So that the path from you to me
Could speedily find you at.
Not tangled like a natures saunter;
Not alarming like a highway;
Tender like a flower garden
A single track runs through
Worn raw to expose the soil
Frequent use and travel;
A favourite tree along the way
Picked and always greeted;
A bush that stands so proud and full
For one sweet season of the sun;
And at last the view of me to you
A happy moment dearly awaited
Greeting from an open door
Opened at my very soul.

Down (day 2749)

I dove down
Into the garden of Eden
For I wore no skin
To hide my sin
I was no alien
To the depths within
For I had dined here before
I have drunk the wine
And sat up
Late at night
Surrounded by pillows
And dim lights
To enjoy each delight
My faintest inclination
Could bring.

Habitat (day 2692)

I hope that I have not become
A garden of your worry
As lost have I found myself
To most of what was once
Have left the tool for another spade
A new life on the rise
Here I toil, finding myself
Dotted with more depth, more dirt
More truth to become with you
A fruit that groans
As seasons play upon our habitat

Garden of a Feast (day 2629)

I found you in a golden garden
One stacked high with perennials
One that flowed with vibrancy
– Spring was settling in.

You found me in the old archives
Ink upon paper written long ago
Notably of some used hardware
None found though plenty had been spared.

Through spells we found each other growing
As tomatoes upon the vine
Spring now Summer in swollen pride
Ripened enough for a feast.

Winter Hearth (day 2309)

I’m growing tired of seeing your reflection
The gates are locked
And my side
Looks like it’s full of open pastures
And wild forest jungles.

There was a time that I knew nothing,
Blinded by skulls and candy
That barked at growing starlight
Strangling each reason
With desperate acts of non-violence
Non-conformance,
Non-sense that rooted blasphemy
In a solid stone foundation,
Un-able, un-desired, un-restricted
By a garden of eden dream space
Too conditioned and nostalgic
To grow wings of a new spring
And follow what has been set in your path.

My clock’s big bold numbers have flipped
Into a new season
A colder season of inner reflection
Observation, closeness with tranquil harbours
That cannot be exhausted in one evening,
One spell cast fool-heartedly,
One lonesome wolf that shall not howl tonight
Though this moon she grows
Swollen and sombre,
And embers within this hearth
Yet to forget this fire that burns within them.
