Peace has struck me down with thunderbolts
Rooted me into this earth I am present upon
Gradually melting my senses into one
Uplifting my soul, allowing it to speak
Earth and I become the same breath of life
Spread outward in sweeping omnipresent waves
Like sunshine feeding springtime
This is not motionless life
Bustling about in rhythmic substance
Carrying the tune of time about our backs
Lodged mysteriously between peace and perseverance
Crawling up walls to yell out at heights
I WILL NOT BE SILENCED
Like sunshine feeding springtime
This is not motionless life

Past Prime Ministers (day 690)
I name off the past Prime Ministers of Canada
As I vigorously make love to you in the night
This helps me accept the fact that
I’ll be slipping with my consciousness soon
Lapsing into a nether region where
Hawks and eagles walk among men
Tipping their hats in respect for animals while
Dining on fine wine and inhaling Cuban cigars
It’s not that I don’t enjoy our time together
Or that my nether regions don’t explode with furious passion
In the presence of your captivating demeanor
Sensuous curves and inviting aroma
I quite like it actually, appealing to all my senses
I just like to dream of Fantasia
Land so vividly different to familiar Earth
A dreamscape of my own devices
Rhythmically naming the past Prime Ministers
And rattling the headboard of your mothers bed chamber
Earth as We Know It (day 636)
Apocalyptic desires spread across the landscape into horizons of jubilant joy, needlessly wandering about the edges in a vignetted blur of reason and sacrifice.
All that was known then suddenly became lost, like the vision from the eyes when consciousness is shifted into the willing arms of a sideways glance, a flicker at the edges of a landscape.
Energy begins to build with anticipation and excitement; roaming birds know this feeling well, they make love to the feeling on sunny days when warm winds blow fresh scents of motherly creations of earth upon their nest.
Laying absentmindedness at the door, whipper-whisps swap the mind to the present, dust floats up from the awoken floorboards hitting sunlight that delights lovers, playing with time and space it’s exchange grows with anticipation into one final exultant gasp and releases such a tremor the rest fall into a deep dark sleep.
Deep within runs wild, from all except the grumpy gnome, the soldier of harbouring resentment, who scowls at all life and pushes away forthcoming joys to create for himself the place he never wished he had.
Alongside this dwelling of darkness runs a brook wild, over mossy rocks, through gnarled trees, past covered bridges, and out into the pussy willows and lily pads.
Taking away with it, from upstream down to the lowlands, all hate, love, magic, potions, desires, misspent emotions, and dying flowers into a new season of germination where new things shall sprout and grow with playful arches of sun that float onwards and away as the magical fruits of earth we know.
Sweep Away (day 621)
Swooping down to greet earth
Sands of serenity blow in from beyond
Groping all with each passing second
An hourglass figure high into the sky
One step forth into winds of change
Takes away sad thoughts
Takes away deep regret
Takes away wallowing injustice
Attacking the littlest of extremities
Upon soul’s troubled mind
Eyes closed and arms outstretched
Deep breaths that fuel sands
Crawl up the spine of soul
Into central nerves that regulate movement
Where a shake begins to take control
Into the heart of passion
Into the soul of hunger
Into open arms of love
Until the last drop of mal-content
Fades off into wicker brooms
That sweep away forgotten thoughts
Sunset (day 620)
Passion filled the sunset that night
Bursting out of control in the sky
Rupturing from the heavens onto earth
And splashing the vista with brilliance
Glory that struck the landscape
With curls around every tree
Silhouetted every rock
And painted every glass walled tower
Before the flag was sent skyward
Hue shifted into darkness
The sun rode on into tomorrow
And night grew eternal long
Sandy (day 525)
Did we ever understand the destruction that would lay waste
Over the subways and villages and schools that faced down Sandy?
Torn from their roost and splayed to ruins upon the streets
In an impressive dance that left no parties smiling
Earth doesn’t mean to rear its anger in the livings face
Though anger yells loudly at all who remain
Like a lion after the kill, the earth both revels and respects
Sacrifices
Mighty Zeus who gleamed down at the soils uprooted
Prometheus raging in the destruction, tears streaming about his face
And laughing deeply from his deep sea caverns
Where light-hearted nymphs dance naked in the spoils
Poseidon from the storming desires of his hands
Drinks heavily from his jeweled goblet
Whose presence announce the changes in the weather
The release in desires across the earth
There is no wrath left inside
Earth in A Lover (day 440)
Stars stretch from the middle of undying hands of a lover
Crisp and bright and forever in my eyes until tomorrow
The day that never arrives, that holds fast in the horizon
One moment at which is always averted with longing eyes
Starting with scraps of freshly cut hearts laid smooth
The outside pieces of a perfectly carved out heart
Three spots of glue to forget the damage done
Pages that now have the attention cold hands didn’t have
Tugging slowly at papers
Falling
Wind
We return
It is earth
..And the Cars Wisp By (day 252)
Perhaps there will be solace in the long walks upon this city
When only the pale fluorescent light above illuminates my casual walk
Sombre walk at best
When the mopey soldier drags his cuffs along the cold earth
Saying with every unconscious step further into the distance
“I’ve seen this before”
..and the cars wisp by
..and the cars wisp by
Lazy goes the spray of the fine elements of this earth
Counting the seconds as gravity pulls their souls back to where they once sat quiet
But it doesn’t hurt
Forget about the sound of the screaming bomb working its way south
Hurtling into a fearful state of recognition
Devoid of life we soar
The fog, and this light. There is no fog that this light cannot burn
There is no memory of the last time we held hands
Sombre as we walk past
Stop SOPA (day 239)
Fight! You pretty people fight!
We have a voice
Granted with passage unto earth
The birth of our conscience
Fleeting matters dismissed
Like McCarthy witch hunts of yore
Carry your own thoughts, dear lovers
Forth, onto tomorrow
Feed not the media induced frenzy
Feed not the government sponsored hype
Feed knowledge within
Feed freedom
Know choice
Consequences we face
Raise a powerful voice of knowledge
Let it be known it’s not ok
Logging (day 91)
Decisive
Witty
We spot the green slopes of grass
Littering the hills
Across the valley
Where no road of cement does roam
Global directives
Seem to explain
The scars we do place on our earth
In time
However
The roots we plant forgive
