Namaste, Thank You (day 602)

Peace falls over me
Like a blanket of trust
Calming, relaxing
Centering to my core
I rest my eyes
They internalize thought
Breath rolls out
Bad vibes and disease
And I sit wandering
Why do I wonder?
Thinking about what
I cannot change anyway
Exhale
Thinking about what
I’ve let drift away
Exhale
Thinking about what
I breathe from my soul
Exhale
Thinking about what
Peace means to me
Exhale
The balance from me
The balance to me
The balance is me
The balance without me
The balance in me
And I exhale
Inhale
Namaste
Exhale
Thank you
Inhale

Poor Silly Darling (day 301)

Poor silly darling
With her eyes open so wide
It’s such a shame
The moon passed it’s time
Sailing the dark seas
Forever calming
Amongst the rustling leaves

Poor silly darling
With her arms so comforting
They haven’t told stories
They’ve shared life
With the ailing soldiers
They’ve doped dressings
Amongst the morphine lectures

Poor silly darling
Who I love there so quietly
Books on her lap
And her feet resting flat
The river that runs
Along high mountain plains
Is always cold against the virgin skin

Desire (day 260)

Blown in with the leaves of time
Strewn out like paper discarded
Elapsed like the growing grass

But still there escapes no figurative talk
No lively-hood of lust that escapes the drivel
Onward and upward in a spiral inward
Left for the ransacking
Two lone bowls of fruit
Monotonous in content
But alive with desire in substance

And then the snow begins to fall
Pulling with it a breath of relief
Inward it seeks for that calming nerve
