Dear Lord I’m running
I’m in stardust, singing,
Lord, I’m running.
With a sweet land for a mind
And two cards in my hand
Lord, can you see me?
Here I am, I’m running
To the end of the line
To this day’s final sign
To the stardust on my mind
And looking for a clear sign
To lay my final jest
Lord, I’ve been coming
And here I am, running.

This Shall Be the One (day 1883)
In all the battles I seek to shine
This shall be the one
This shall take my hand and glow
This shall be the one
In every corner I stare upon
This shall sway my voice
This shall be my saving grace
This shall sway my voice
In all the windows I look out from
This shall find my sun
This shall be my simple tree
This shall find my sun
Ageless Rhythm (day 1853)
Your holy high is the rise to my shine
A moment of passage in mind
With a long list of ancient goddesses
Calling out my wild name.
Pause to reflect, innocent syndicate
Step light with our toes
Toes toes toes toes
In forever reverberate
Get undulated pride high
At the top of my wigwam
And dance on
To the ageless rhythm of our bright future.
Sweat Tea (day 1840)
Into my sweet tea
I felt there was an empty spoon
And you came along so soft
To help me with my sugar,
And here your golden laughter
Took a shining to my smile –
A power I was helpless to,
A Queen in a beggars hand.
And if my sorrow had a strength
It would be a sweetened song,
It would be so round it had no edge
And sugar would be my pun
For my sweet tea is clearly running low
And my spoon has turned to fun.
News (day 1839)
I asked you in an earnest voice
If the weather had been nice –
A windowless entrance into your mind
A sunset in the sky.
And your sunglasses gave you away
On this sunny side of our street
Where I ventured just one other guess
As to where your lover had been lately.
To which you looked the other way
And left me holding onto your
Glass purse now splayed on the floor.
A prison I could only guess,
As I collected quite the mess
In shadows and eye liner pens.
So I turned back into my coffee
That was more straight then you did seem
To let her cursing steam away
And the news was getting cold.
Days Roll By (day 1829)
When you hang around here
I roll in second gear
Not pushing too fast
Caught in the wind
Days roll by
Into weeks and miles
When your hanging ’round
Baby, let’s roll around
And my parking brake
Is the great escape
City lights and the vista
With music on easy beats
Boardwalk of Whiterock (day 1823)
I remember high waisted love
I had to try on
In summertime I was
A hopeless romantic singer
Sentinel at my perch
On the boardwalk of Whiterock.
Every passing and going
It was summertime affair
I heard wind blowing
Seagulls culling
And I out to my sea
On the boardwalk of Whiterock.
Now my vessel aboard
Sunglasses and a city of scores
Tide’s low sandy toes
And my voice crying out loud
For nighttime’s aglow
On the boardwalk of Whiterock.
Let it be Fire (day 1822)
I can strongly feel the urgency
To leave a mark of sincerity
I can feel the strength surging up
Let it be fire
Let it be fire
Let it be strong.
I have heard the call of transparency
To leave lying exposed my chest
I can feel the beat of everlasting
Let it be fire
Let it be fire
Let it be strong.
I am the heat in the sun
To fuel your animal’s deep jungle
I can feel the day long
Let it be fire
Let it be fire
Let it be strong.
