Changed (day 2605)

If we brought to changing the world
Would we take to changing me?
Would we rearrange the clouds
To march down river beds?
Take for granted chains of time
Taking us each away,
Take advantage of Polaris
– Never changing star,
Take the dirt between your toes
And tell me everything else
Tell me of frogs chirping loud
Of early morning birds,
Tell me what you see inside
My autumn coloured eyes
Leave me a changed man
So I can change the world.

The Neighbourhood (day 2569)

Gone to sleep again with extra dollars to my name
Which have left me with a memory that cannot escape recollect
But what if I could just leave it in a bucket by the door
Would the regular pauper find just what he wanted, what he was looking for?
Could then my neighbours sleep come easier than before?

Cry as You Want (day 2503)

I have called out the ghosts of my wisdom
Lay them down upon the brow of my thought
Spoke to them like a soldier at his challenge
And a mother facing all of her fears

Cry as you want for the sun that has gone
But tomorrow it shall come again, my friend.

Bend around the world we cannot see
For it speaks to us subliminally
A coward backs away from what wants to consume
Stronger yet is that which stands up with a raised fist.

Cry as you want for the sun that has gone
But tomorrow it shall come again, my friend.

This Song (day 2502)

I sing this song to better me
To give away my peace
I sing this song of strength
To let it flow away
I sing this song of a righteous path
That gathers all the steam
I sing this song louder yet
To reach the ears of vain
I sing this song to overflow
The basins at each fountain
I sing this song of eternal youth
To keep our vigor strong
I sing this song out to you
For it is me who needs it most.

I Am Angry (day 2459)

I am angry at the Americans
For making the world one big party
And leaving all their spending
Polluting our fields of plenty
I am angry at the Chinese
For building these resorts
For walking down the streets
Disrespecting different cultures
I am angry at Canada
For lying to with a smile
Rolling out the red carpet
Though the green flag flies high
I am angry at the Petrols
For neglecting human health
For letting all these diesel fuels
Spilling into atmosphere
I am angry at the Youth
For not taking hold the change
For not demanding to know better
Though they stand up for pop cult
I am angry at the Voices
Speaking so strongly inside
Obviously in rhythmic lies
I am angry at the Religious
Who say their faithful
Are more right and devout
Who align their one clear path
Though they preach unanimous love
And acceptance for all those left
I am angry at Myself
For not knowing how to stand
Though I see clearly my knees
That rest here in the shade

Lies (day 2435)

What you said is far from understanding
What you meant is far from the truth
Swallow your pride and listen intently
A condition we’re far from committing

Where you made your largest of lines
Where you made your central divide
Misunderstanding played by large colonies
An army mislead by them lies

Our Daily Step (day 2433)

Ask yourself questions of thy soul:
Those of pith
That require no translation
When repeated backwards to the mind,
Those that break you down
To your very foundation
Whereby upon rebuilding
A new found power exists.
Are you inside enough?
Building virtue like an Olympian
Sweating breaks down the truth.
Ask these questions of thy soul
Until blood of our deepest toil
Stains the back of our lively dance,
And reverberates from the weight
Of our daily step.
