Sidenotes (day 2855)
I wish I wrote sidenotes
In pages of books I’ve read
The dusty ones
I tried to identify smells in.
Messy sidenotes,
Illegible
Upside down
Sideways
Grammatically incorrect
Timeless.
Meanings they’d project
To change an entire trajectory
Of the book being read;
A side thought
To my sidenote.
Clever, but not obtuse.
Maybe a little obscene.
Excitement of Expectation (day 2831)
Anticipation
Review
Nerves
Failed Experiments (day 2826)
Forgotten
Labs have envisioned
Studied
Forgotten
Like thunder
Escaped
Rounded
Estimated
Gone
Archived
Rollin’ (day 2825)
Toothaches and pressure me
I must carry strong
Monday nights and wiffle balls
Seeds sewn in the sun.
Hold your hands
Awake for day
Breath so deep inside
Alert by sense.
Repetitive noise
Thump me in the good
Intended for busy eyes
True competition.
Entirely Audible (day 2822)
I do not know what I want to hear
Sweet voices
Tambourines
Drawn out organs
Single noted cellos.
Sounds have become adjusted
To a key un-lay,
Not entirely audible
But clearly a deeper feeling
That rests not
Incus and Malleus…
Deeper.
Tap roots of an ancient breath
Hammered into shape,
Ten thousand soldiers,
Fire and Dragon’s wings.
Found Free (day 2810)
To late, I am free
It’s happened again
You’ve opened up
I’m flying now
You’re wind upon my sail
Rested with a cockatoo
Who told me every tale
Which kept my dreaming
Flowing free
Found you here again
Climbing Cat (day 2794)
I watched you climb up to your perch
One I worried too high
But in your time
You found your way
Back down to my lap
To keep me warm as night did pass
For outside winds did howl
And night has set in upon us
Climbing cat, my friend.
Fumes From Painting (day 2760)
Cleaned brush
Wall of essence
Slight twinge thy nose
Rent (day 2758)
A rainbow has landed by my chair
Two shades clearer than yesteryear:
Many cuts more the wiser.
And to my right there burns a fire
So emotive I saw the sun
That held me up as rain came down
Floundered in the far off field.
Then in the soup I had not made
But sat down to enjoy
I sang a song of lucky chance
Though no hardship saved my rent.
