I wanted you to be with me,
Lilac in Autumn,
“Death do us part,” we said;
Death upon our doorstep,
Maple leaves blew at us,
Grass lay fallen all around,
Yet we held each other close
For no Winter gale could throw
What Summer had bestowed.
I watched as each petal fell
Each gross, entangling retreat
For which I had no escape from,
No secret spell to depart.
So there I lay
Crumpled, long past bloom
Decaying and so delicately
A heart so much betrayed.

Slow (day 2666)
Slowly memory returned
Slowly tree grew
Slowly sun arc’d sky
Slowly memory returns
It is not darkness
Only frame of mind
Shares each step
Each rock of fire
Tempered wind at my back
Squint upon my face
Naturally forced upon
Slowly run on
Unexplained and Lost (day 2665)
Organs broke thunder
Through clouds of heaven
While doves spirited
A wide-awake call
Destined for a wild ride
Through paradise
Leaving an echo
Ricocheting off
A mystery that did not exist
Until forever remained
Unexplained
And lost.
For They Would Rust (day 2664)
If your answers solved
What mystery remains between lives,
Where would our trial be held?
Where would we lay down our tools
Dear for this unquenched need
To work until our knees are sore
And our feet curl up at the seams
Of our understanding, our dreams,
For they would rust
Lost in a gaze of submission
Caught by the hand that pierces all hearts.
I would be lost
For I compete with a memory
Complete and detail oriented.
I ask not for your question,
I speak not for your silence
I read not for your passage
I hold not for your gift
I growl for your soul
That bites off what it believes it can chew
I snarl for your essence
That rips apart belief structure
And I cry at the foot of all you have become
For I know not how to unbecome
What I had never waited to be.
Bitter Old Man (day 2661)
Longer than
An old man’s caved in nose
Rotten with lies
Cold with goodbyes
Tumbled (day 2660)
Long is the day
That approaches with sway
Blown by madness
Of ten angry horses
Tumbled autumn leaves
Gone, nevermore.
Shallow Grave (day 2656)
I woke into a shallow grave
A sight not seen before
Two vegabonds and I
Had no more wine to down
So out the door we flew
To catch a dirty crew
Carrying over top their heads
Two damsels I’d never met
Who asked us to follow them on
A roundabout way towards
What none had seen before
Lost we had not declared
Yet feeling had heen long awhile
But in the end
Around the bend
We all greeted then parted ways
With the grizzly sight
We had taken to see
And took depart upon the case.
Razorblade (day 2655)
Come along
Miss Razorblade
Feed a fire tonight
Sharpen all
Your wits and charm
Feed me unending fuel
For I cannot say
Cannot stay to long
Without a cause
Case and clue
On my lucky shoes
Frosted (day 2654)
When everything around comes to light
Fancies all the shine
Weather takes a lot to grow
Winter of my mind
Can you take me along the road
Fundamental ritual
Carry off a long cleansing
Frosted lies the earth
Candle Lit Mood (day 2653)
Lit a candle
To set the mood
Of which I fell
Direct in to.
Not to worry
For in the back
A rattling rain
Went on again.
