Maybe (day 254)

I may have been sleeping when I wrote this
But I was told to hang my head and cry
I may have been aware of the anger ahead
But I was watching my back for a lifeline
I may have been worried about the future
When I asked you to cover my steps
I may have been dreaming of another place
When I asked you to marry me

But dear angel that floats on so high
Come down here a while and bless this guy
Perhaps the snakes and candles will entertain you neigh
Perhaps the passion now present will never die

I may have cried all day long
For a woman who had been gone so
I may have worn out the sweater of lust
To a song that had never played on
I may have bled, maybe

Temperance (day 246)

When the grass grows long
And finds itself getting shaggy
When the leaves turn brown
And find themselves defying gravity

When the motion is heard
And Doppler enforces his rules
When the oven does smell
Yet the stomach still growls

We find ourselves at a tipping point
A pinnacle at which there exists at most two roads
To the left, and to the right
The blue or the red [pill]

And at this choice,
Burdensome to many
A blessing to most,
We poise, ready for takeoff

Can you feel it?
Does the anticipation,
The calm before the storm,
Raise little hairs on your neck?

[For surely it does]
It must remain all that we have;
Lead temperance to control
The most irate of our desires

And when the grass gets cut
When the gravity grabs them leaves
And the sound pierces thine skull
The stomach, it shall sit content

The Future (day 242)

Some days I can memorize the stars that look upon me
[Laying naked in the grass; I let it bleed]
Souls reach out from bloated heights
[I cry alone and let the moonlight carry my sin]
Deeper and deeper into the melted horizon
Slowly crawling its weary arc
Further and further into tomorrows dreams
[It is now I rise awake]
Galloping faster into the future
To return another day, in different form
A different place we both shall align from

Let Us Begin (day 241)

Lament of a lover
Gets lost in the sea
As the islands grow thinner
And the skies to infinity

Grow long, distant lands
Mercy the horizon without grace
Say farewell to familiar clouds
Bid adieu firm soil

My feet no longer tempt
The lonely seas of your pasture
My flowers no longer grow
From the brown brown soil of your fathers land

Lust on Rooftops (day 234)

Did you hear the sound of the rain that night?
Did the screams of desire reach your conscience?
Did you wind up those unwound dancing shoes?

I laid the ground with fresh rose pedals
Strewn with the hand of wicked intentions
I scented the very edges of humanity
With such lust tigers dull in comparison

Did you catch the faint wind blow upon your face?
Did you hear the footsteps upon your roof?

Still Alone (day 231)

Your love
Frothing at the mouth like an innocent child
Capturing little bits of humanity
In the deep holes of sanity

Innocently proven
Archaic amongst the spellbound
Glistening like the deep cold waters of the full moon
Only shortly lived, disturbed in a quick splash

Go ahead
Run the rivers wild into the jungle deep
Call out crazy like the impossible memories
Green and charming, still alone

Spins of Sand (day 224)

Energy flows about like the spins of sand
Gathering around nipples, digging in deep
Flow like the wind and breathe like the groan
Bring with me any source of desire
Collapse with me at the end of time
Completely filled up from the pursuit
Sharing, giving, receiving, becoming
You, me, we, in a long dip down and glorious endeavor
Warmingly sharing the space for forever

The Search; The Path (day 217)

When you borrow your blanket
Don’t ever fight the threads that tickle your nose
Let the light wind collapse over your furrowed brow
And rest your pretty curls on my open chest

At last, I’ve waited here for you
I’ve set the table with its places
I’ve lit the candles; welcomed you in
Oh lord, let the sun shine down

When I come again, in another time
I’ll let your eyes hover close
Let your fire flare up
Lets make good and well to the news tonight

A new wind cools our sails
The rise above fits deep within
The railroad creeks on as we circle our life begin
And you, and me, we seek within

Home (day 216)

Home runs deep
Home speaks whispers
It holds your hand
And feeds you when you’re hungry

Home calls your name
It brings you out of the cold
Into the depths of love
Home runs deep

Home doesn’t require gifts
Home brings health
Home shows you with hugs
Everything will be all right

I’m home now
I’m here but I wont stay long
I won’t leave it behind, though
Home runs deep with me

Life Seed (day 214)

Below your needs and wishes and desires
Sneaks a long legged bastard with evil desires
Screaming the devil and riding with bulls
Our roaming handles ride out in style

Along the gravel roads
Wisdom pulls at the rocks
Polluting the desire wheels
And holding onto the plan

Don’t let the train run through these hills
Clogging the damned marshes to bulldozed highrises
As far as we’ve planned and disregarded omens
They aren’t going hiding, our wisdom within

Please let the elders speak feelings freely
Hold onto the deep thoughts from within
Random encounters that plant a seed
Life seed that joins all nature as one
