So Long Ago

What is the hardest thing?
A glowing orb at an unending tunnel
Flashing lights in otherwise darkness
Moments of stillness broken by reality
A whisper one still remembers
Sun so long ago
And a night that must end.

But how soft it can often hit
Like haze on a full moons glow
Orbs opening
And a bead of sweat upon thy lip.

Pain can remain
And lost within thy brow
A handful often mistaken rashly
Just as this lingering upper back kink.

Rubble (day 2731)

Could it be I’ve lost my way
Deep down inside the tunnel?
Or could it be a mystery
Unfolding in front of me?
Either way, I’m sure to fall
Bruise a bone or two,
Get lost amongst
What I cannot see,
And fight my way still forth:
Amongst the rubble,
Debris, chaos,
Henceforth a state of decay.

Unmanned Headlights (day 1187)

Tunnel down this deep dark hole
With an un-handled shovel;
Unmanned I’m blinking headlights.

I lost mine up to my knees;
Life and dirt is blowin me.
Change is seasons we cannot see.

Two dollar bills and my coffee’s cold.
Dusty love-note’s fading mind,
It’s a dusty love-note’s dying time.

I’ve got a spotlight memory,
Driven by a crazy dream.
Unmanned headlights flickering.

An Un-Ending Walk (day 72)

I walk alone deep into the darkness
Wondering thoughts to fresh to come out
To sensitive to be asked
Can we witness an escape?
An alternate pleasure?

I know the answers, deep down inside
They caress my soul amongst wombats and wizards
But like the un-ending tunnel
I’m not sure which way is out
Have I gone on to far?
