Permit Me Sight (day 2837)

Can one day your abundance touch me?
Truth like lightening bolts
Thrown from Zeus himself.
And my eyes shall see openings
From whence your sail shall catch wind,
Pulling me towards ancient speed
Roaring in fierce aftermath
Abundantly striking me free.

Inverted extramere
I shall not turn my eye,
Though wrath of the God shall torture me
For it is in his kingdom
You shall dare set me free.
And in my deepest of layers
– Of which only then permit me sight,
It has always been mine blindness –
Call on me to share.

Read me like I am all here,
Nor leave me without all signs.
There I sit in mine throne
Stretched in abundance and call,
Laid bare as shown Virgil
And my heart reigned for thy lightening bolt
Sight into thine eyes.

Thinning (day 2832)

At once I thundered through the forest
Chapter to my name
Dust had neither settled nor swept
Alarm for every cocoon
Axe in one hand, saw the other
Limbs begone, forever cleared
Forest to grow strong and free
And let live as can live
Diversity amidst the settlers
Forgive the intrusion
I am to be human.

A Freedom (day 2797)

I don’t know what piece of you wants to be free
I’ve searched a while now
A long walk through the forest
And only tracks of wild animals show.
Your mind has spoken
But your heart stays back still
Relentless and wandering
You have yet to let go.
I can open screen doors
To hear the sweet lion roar,
I can warp time inside flannel
And forget about mountains
I’ve left there, behind,
But of your freedom
-Your moment of truth,
Where doth escape render;
Ultimate faith
Shall hold the reins
For this wild beast.

Dripping Windowpane (day 2639)

Windows wrapped me in a blanket
That left the world to drip
Each and every sorrow leaf
To have you again,
That made me ask ten thousand questions
To keep me first at last free.
For inward I shall breathe again
– Resting upon your shoulder –
That wraps me up to warmth
Escaping down each line I draw
Dripping windowpane.

The Heart of My Song (day 2599)

Did the heart of my song
Ring out to you wrong?
Wrote it down twice
Just to make sure I’s clear,
For lost in verse
Was my biggest fear
That reached down to me
From an overhead cloud
Grabbed on, brought on the sea
Right to my heart;
So torrential soaking
Left the biggest swell
Inside my song
That rang out all night
Into a saucer holding tea
Comforting me that I am now free.

Goodnight (day 2588)

Can you cry to me goodnight
Tears so full of joy
A willow waves at evening crickets
My heart so free, ablaze.

When I hear the sorcerer,
Feel unprescedented pull,
When I feel a memory
Fade to unwanted noise.

Not lost, thought my feet grapple
At each root they meet
Tenderly I step my way
Back to say goodnight.
