Fireworks (day 2703)

My thoughts go back towards the dawn
You first appeared to me:
Awoken was I to rambling words
Two girls having quite some fun.
Little fireworks then erupted
– Thoughts of what the day could bring,
Sure enough I was distracted
Just as now I trail away.
You had a headband
Upon your ears
That made me think of a tough mudder
And a friendly friend and dog,
And a dog seat to be cleaner.
You smiled so freely, so effortlessly
So relaxed and free you felt;
The vibe of adventure,
Two friends forever!
One a nurse with a blue sporty car,
The other for pets her heart
Soon one me over, indeed so clever
A patience game of time.
Sure she may not have the shoes
For every single occassion,
But if she has the sandals for
The beach around the corner
Then maybe she will stay with me
And help me tune more fireworks.

One Lady (day 2217)

I was a sailor broken down
Two bags of silver from the crown
One Lady yonder missing me
And two days more I’d run from ground
But even with a bag of gold
I called out loud when setting sail
For o’r the breakers I was sure to see
A land I’d not know, adventure to me
And surely a maiden calling out to be
Another Lady missing me.

Journey’s End (day 1559)

A road as a passing song
Carried our fearless warrior on,
Deep as a jungle far
A dusty trail,
Hidden but not gone.
When the road turns its wiles away
Heavy hearts jump and start to say:
“Adventure is this that we have,
One and all, to journey’s end!”
So press on forth
Deepness within,
Make passion journey’s begin.

New Positions in Old Lands (day 913)

Wilting tulips peeking out between
Tufts of Kentucky blue
Old fruits in decomposed remains
Soiling nurtures death

Sprawled timelessly, endlessly
Vacant amongst giants
Sit cozy cottages
Squished and disheartened

Grave-ly/like plowed
Widened and trimmed
Single track adventure path turned
Paved mountainous road

Rounded and tied
Bales of hay
Feeding quarter horses on
Four wheels with exhaust

Life stream in valleys floor
Where abundant game roam
Cement barricades trapping
Forever more… dam

Forever it is Now (day 352)

I sit waiting in this park for an answer
For the solution to the next month and 10 days
Perhaps it will come in a moment of clarity
Like the lost tides of sands forever gone

But then, as I feel it would collapse all around
A passing dog roams my way and licks at my toes
For this, I cannot ignore as a fate of the future
I cannot pass up this chance to find peace

Thus prompted to gather my wits about me
I feel my way through the dark into the darker
Exploring like a traveler en route unmapped
I seek what is known not to me

Then faster and faster I gain in my speeds
I look to the right and then to the left
The darkness turns into motions and blurs
Yet too fast to decipher as if a flickering murmur

Then all of a sudden, from the depths of my soul
I reach for a light switch; flicker then glows
I pass up the easy road for the road I’m on now
Today is my adventure, forever it is now
