I remember my peace
Laid out along a long thin line
That stretched from my heart
To a little unsymmetrical pebble
Which lightly touched the sky,
Roots deep below.
I remember my peace
As it lived just as I do,
And it, too, decays.
But just as that decays
Life source regenerates
And begins again my peace
That I do always remember.

Two Minute Dummies (day 1837)
Dear George,
I’ve been plowing the sky lately,
Pushing out weeds and laughing
Into circular spires that tangle my heart
And blow my innocence
One seed at a time.
And this is just day one.
This isn’t like some kind of marigold round,
This is a lost mannequin
Rusting beside two mute dummies
In an old warehouse
Sprinkling fuel all around in
Distorted laughter and
Fixing generators with all night fuel parties.
And don’t piss off the bouncer.
So, things have been interesting,
You know?
How are things with you?
Love,
Lucy
Knuckle Symbol (day 1836)
Took me on a ride along
To which I was tied tight
Had a symbol on my knuckle
A human rights violation.
As air began to choke,
And smoke thickened over water
And my cement buzzed along
Towards a dotted line.
Palpable (day 1835)
I wake up
Covered in a thick film
Of dreams
And desires
Palpable
That linger
Amicably
Inside my foggy
Conscience,
Holding me
As if space
Has never
Betrayed me.
Dustpans (day 1834)
I’m going to experiment with
My tongue tied around
Cruel witches dustpans
In the fall of a deep winter.
My hands will mix
An elixir potent enough
To knock sense
Into unsensible madmen
Rambling back and forth
In front of trailheads,
Circling madness
As the drugs take hold
And my tongue unfurls.
This is Not A Scar (day 1833)
My heart is clear
Running through air
Upon soft land
Through thick brush.
Calm your flutter,
Sweet thoughts, afar,
Time exposes
And this is not a scar.
Summer’s Butterfly (day 1832)
If for a moment your breath should be
Delicate, as summer’s butterfly floats
Then my mind should wander free
Upon full mountains of your slopes.
For blossom precludes summer’s growth,
Where upon our butterfly soaks
In unrelenting glow of Helios,
There, ’tis there I am to live
To cast my heavens stroke in soil
Upon our warmed hearth of serenity.
Days Roll By (day 1829)
When you hang around here
I roll in second gear
Not pushing too fast
Caught in the wind
Days roll by
Into weeks and miles
When your hanging ’round
Baby, let’s roll around
And my parking brake
Is the great escape
City lights and the vista
With music on easy beats
