For Tomorrow (Broken Arrow) (day 3203)

I chose the path of a broken arrow
Bent and fragmented
In the soil I grow
For once I was mad
With hate so hot
Spent life speeding
From spot to target
With venemous fuel.
I was long and straight,
I fought a great battle
Now I’m bent
And given away
My grace and beauty
For a place exposed
To wiles and whims
Of nature’s fancy
Where the guise of time
Will swallow me whole
As a man in slippers
On a dirt path
For tomorrow.

Chains (day 2143)

I have launched my Saturn
To lasso my stronghold
About the trunk of an old fir
And in my harness
That I have so carefully filtered
I can see tire marks
Destroying the delicacy
So carefully planted before me.

My disrespecting synonyms
Displace me
Yet from this angle
My six shooter chops each antagonist
Down to their knees
To which I show no mercy
I have no mercy
For the main target
Of the world I’ve come to
Heavily breathe in
Lies stickered to the souls
Of garbage bins discarded.

So, I carefully sign my name
To hand written documents
That address my stronghold’s weakness
And dig my stick
Into footpaths abandoned,
And rip the flagging
From mouth of hungry chains
Replacing raindrops
With Spring snowdrops.

Guilty Plea (day 748)

At once there was a gathering of heroes
Soldiers of duty that swore to their master
Guardians of public safety, truth and honor

I, turning round and around
Trapped like a target
Scared like a victim

No it wasn’t a champions bargain alone in the middle
I was the coward; in the game just a pawn
Scrambling for words in desperate desire

In the words of desire I had pulled the trigger
Attempting to alter my position
Captured by the air I inhale, I was gambling

But my hair was not so light
Held up there to scare
I was an example of a rebel to society

Captain Charles A. Bigoff (day 664)

Captain Charles A. Bigoff
Of the 98th Battalion
Secret commando troupe
Special Ops for behind enemy lines
Reporting for duty Sir

Reconnaissance yesterday
Went as planned
We swooped in on the target
at 2235 Blackberry Lane
Bird feeder was located
Nearby vicinity was swept
No enemy squirrels
None were found
However, we did find tracks
That led into the forest
Which we followed
To the den of the suspect
We found the fox Sir
Two pups and the mother
The bombers took two passes
Dropping the heavy boys
We believe the threat
Has been neutralized Sir
The area is clear for landing

Excellent job Captain
