River Bed Flow (day 2414)

Let the river bed flow
I want the world to know
You can hear ol’Gray Bird
Doesn’t matter what season
Doesn’t matter what time
I want the world to know
Shouting out loud
In a forest around here
Alive with rounding music
Hardly lonesome while dreaming
By the river bed swimming
I want the world to know
Carry me on, carry me home

Opacity (day 1366)

Mist hovers around distant peaks
In layers of varying degrees of opacity.
This romantic gesture of nature
Elegantly caresses the rolling edges
Of Oceans’ depth,
Lapping in anticipation of condensation,
Of erosion, of a life ready for swimming
And torrents swiftly moving debris,
Leftover madness,
In a slow waltz towards decomposition.
For life in its continued cycle
Sweeps all amongst its grip,
Heaves and blows, wisps and snows.
And goes and goes between distant tree tops
Of deep hidden green
Where damp darkness within hallows out
Moss and lichen’s dear nest,
Amidst fallen giants, long ever lasting,
With hearts of true desire so deeply brown
That all surrounding colour forms a perfect match,
Like needle covered ground,
Healthily swept clean of fungi
By the little nature cleaners,
Bacteria and organisms alive in depths
Scarcely observed in fleeting moments of daylight,
Heavily felt as clouds consistently continue
Rolling along distant peaks
In varying degrees of opacity.

Infected (day 758)

Your beauty is infectious
Swimming around in my blood
Running through my thoughts
Hinging my smile at the edges
Putting a jump in my step
And I kind of like it

It’s like an amarillo in blossom
Shining in the garden with wide arms
Whispering everything I want to hear
Hands resting on my shoulders
As your lips come closer
Reach out and touch something

Then I smell the answer to my life
Lingering memories I’ve never forgotten
Because you keep coming back
You keep calling my name
Out loud all hours of the night
Reminding me to never let go

For without your pulsating heartbeat
I have never lived a single day
Never felt my hair between your fingers
As I look toward the sky in bliss
Watching unnamed clouds float on by
I smile, infected with beauty and love

Did You Get the Bacon? (day 682)

I just wanted to tell you, you look nice today. Did you clean your coat?
No honey, it’s spring time! I’ve been swimming
Mmm. That’s why you’ve been smelling so delightful too!
Wally, did you remember to get the bacon at the store today?
Yes Waddle, it’s on the ice cooling, should I go get it?
I think that would be a great idea, I’m getting hungry, and you never know how long it will last with the neighbors kids out and about… Can you take the garbage out too Wally?
Yes dear, anything else?
Well, what would you like with the bacon for dinner?
Perhaps some salted home style potatoes? With some squid? Would that work?
Oh! Great idea, I think we still have some squid frozen in the freezer, could you grab that too?
Aye! I can smell it already!

Battered Soul (day 427)

I’ve battered my soul upon the rocky shores of innocence
Sun bleached reconciliation laid to waste
Heart spilling it’s spoils upon the rocks
And the mighty waves relentless damage breaking bones

There is peace then in time
That rolls along deeply like the rhythmic paddle
Striping through the disturbed sea
In song, everlasting

Pining sailors lost far our in the sea
Stranded on lonely islands with lots of life
Wiled beyond the bayou to the open seas
By the naked goddess swimming

Then, in moments of clarity
The seasons turn to spring
The hand is then set free
And all of the sorcerers relax their hand of power
