Ending Sky (day 3013)

This is how I cried within,
But there was no trail to follow
So I held my breath
With open eyes,
And still goodbye came too soon
In my never ending sky.
A love letter unmarked;
I never found the start
Of the train I had so always yearned,
Watching dullening lines down
My mirrored window,
And I’ll walk home tonight
For I can see you tonight
In the sky so high above.

Sweetest Song (day 2997)

Sing to me your sweetest song
I heard you singing over there
Append to that a touch of heart
I crave for, like morning to start.

Should each new day
Bring me your so-sung song
I should fall into eternal reverie
At once awoke and set so free.

Long ago I wondered if
A bird’s sweet song could be sung again
And at every chance I so spun
I listened on so intent.

Then I heard you open up
With such lyric that touched my heart
At once I was deeply touched
And longed again: your sweetest song.

My Dog, My Pal (day 2935)

I felt you in the rain
Streaming down my cold face
Remembering how you cried.
We had always spoken
Every morning and every night
How time passes what now feels.
It wasn’t there that I lost you,
Nor could I have held you tight,
It was the night that I remember
I looked into your eyes.
Sleep came soundly
But awoke with quite a start,
A sadness I had left you
Always be my dog, my pal.

Wax (day 2909)

I am nothing
For this is changing.
My knowledge has been,
My journey long gone,
Sense of self abandoned
And the lizards
Have begun to infest
Each broken hallow,
Each arching pain
That has dropped
And begun no start
For I am nothing
Like candles run wax.

Leaving (day 2739)

Have you ever had the chance to leave your mind?
Take a running start and leave it down there
Magic in the heart and two more memories.
Makes me wonder where you’ve been gone so long,
Followin’ a path that weaves and lifts
Hollys and ferns and lichen too;
Rhythm and your blue and jubilant see
Fire in the palm of every river in you.

Happy is a guess I never dreamt for me,
I took another train through desert and stream;
Golden hours awaited at the end of a dream,
Though I never dared come again here.
Lonely is a story best served in the dark
That smells of an old wine and gold bound book,
Flipping to a page that never looked so good.
Words don’t make sense, misunderstood,
And a hollow in the voice that spoke to me.
Gibraltar in every step at the foot of the bed;
Carry it again for the weight in my head
Is following a noise at the tip of my tongue,
Carry me alone, so I’ll suffer there instead.

The Mountain (day 2674)

This mountain has grown
So I can not see it’s top
It’s not even stopping
So I’m not stopping
But as I look up so high
Unsurmountably high
I feel deep inside
A yearning for the air
I see high above
And in front of me too
I see both my shoes
And a path rarely travelled
Which today
Of all days
I’ll start here right now.

You’ve Got to Love What You Get (day 2670)

Sometimes it just doesn’t make sense
Sometimes you’ve got to love what you get
When rain falls, everyone gets a bit wet
And if the sun sets
You’ve got to get with what you can.

Like a lion’s roar
You’ve got to grab hold your charge
‘Till you’ve made it your own
Finding diamonds in stones
No one’s left out, no one’s left there behind
Not in a world where everyone shines.

So my mercy is an invitation
For your crop seed, perennially
Take it from me
Cause I was born here to bleed.

Sometimes it’s what you know how to do
Sometimes there’s not a question or clue
There’s an opening
Across the supporting beam
Made from the start
So you can give all your heart.

Red Lemonade (day 2444)

You aren’t dragging me down
Though you’re trying real hard
Crystals and Rubies
Lemonade on my soul
Inevitable rhapsody
What’s cruel shan’t grow

This one step facing unequal
We were relying from the start
Expressions contrasting
Fleeting we’ve gone free
Under imagined
This fiery road

If I found it I’d let go
Bloody singing my song
Escapes and hung hinges
Oiling each gear
Red Carbon and Argon
Wide throttle we roll

Lonely Moon (day 1804)

Lonely moon and my heart. Do you ever wonder where to start? So I dip my toes and fix my tie and pretend that my head’s held high because then there’ll be a judging man waiting for a hand to feed a plan and I’m begging with open arms and eyes a gazing for the sweet blossom of my year.
