This Shall Be the One (day 1883)

In all the battles I seek to shine
This shall be the one
This shall take my hand and glow
This shall be the one

In every corner I stare upon
This shall sway my voice
This shall be my saving grace
This shall sway my voice

In all the windows I look out from
This shall find my sun
This shall be my simple tree
This shall find my sun

Ageless Rhythm (day 1853)

Your holy high is the rise to my shine
A moment of passage in mind
With a long list of ancient goddesses
Calling out my wild name.
Pause to reflect, innocent syndicate
Step light with our toes
Toes toes toes toes
In forever reverberate
Get undulated pride high
At the top of my wigwam
And dance on
To the ageless rhythm of our bright future.

Diamonds and Ashes (day 1743)

I opened my eyes and in shined diamonds
Yet I could hardly wait
For my late date
Who ate pickles and jam on toast
To buckle her two shoes
As she counted to three
And played guitar on the leftover string
So I tiptoed
Down the sideways road
That whispered: “Let me in,
Let me in, let me in.”
And here I began
With my hand in the sand
To rub diamonds to pearls and ashes

Soul Behind This Country Boy (day 1484)

When we walked away –
So much still left to say,
It was the night I fell in love with her,
Which was the night I walked away.

I cannot talk of spoken promises,
I’ve never left my soul behind,
But the man that I am living now,
Is the man I’d always known.

I landed here with postage stamps,
Unmarked, unspent, untagged, unused,
Nowhere yet to send them to,
Nowhere left that’s on my mind.

A loner as a country boy –
The stars my greatest friends,
I dug a hole that wasn’t long enough
But I fit into just fine.

I am lost into another time,
Though a little light still does shine,
To which my heart infatuates
And I am the man I’ve always known.

Peace (day 530)

In the entrance of reality we are blessed with conscience
We each see the light that pushes us forth
The difference becomes when we fold up our socks
And pull down our pants to bend over backwards
To let the finishing touches be put on our shine
By the people we choose to let us be led

You choose this, this never ending pull
This never ending walk into our mind that sets us forth
Sets us apart from our brothers and sisters
The ones who also share the same exact stretches of imagination
That rupture our souls and pitch our chests upward
Necks alert and mouth and eyes gaping upwards

Our own unique plans allow us to differentiate this path
Undoubtedly pushing each one of us
It is I, it is you, it is us who choose to balance
The way the stars effect
Glimmering off the rippling evening lake
That blows as it wants in the stretches of time that glitter in our minds

Peace then pushes forth in our conscience
Emanating outwards from the beams of life
That stretch from the parts which have been nurtured
Lust fills us for a life that cannot be silenced
Rosy cheeks and picture perfect smiles
And peace, always in peace with nature and self

Sunshine and Blue Skies (day 434)

Sun that fights through the window
Pouring it’s heart and soul
Onto the precious spots of floor
Decadent and proud as it blasts
All the little spots with heat
Heat and rays
So precious to our environment
That life without
Is not even possible

Rays of sunshine
That warm the soul and
Put smiles on the faces of all
Who dare experience it’s fury
The sky that it erupts from
Free from any distractions
No hue too large
No white to charge
That smile from your face
That shine in your grace

Crowns (day 414)

Nothing can compare to those golden crowns
The ones that rest behind the steel gates
Behind the thick glass walls with laser beams
Nothing can even match the shine they have
Or the sheer awe they inspire
Especially when freshly polished
Directly beneath those strategically placed pot lights
Nothing can quite make the cut when compared
Things come close, real close
But in the end it’s always those crowned jewels that
Capture the essence of every boy out there
Enough so that even the jesters turn their heads twice
