Hold On, Along (day 2647)

The season of your mind
Has taken me along the way
To run home
To sing with you
Each picture that I take to paint
Reads me another happy day
Wishes and your other way
I’ll save a seat again
To remind me I’m awakening
A better version of me
So I can hold on for three
Then I’ll never see
What could take so long
Hold on, hold on I’ll be.

Wildflowers (day 2614)

I broke into a heart today
That screamed a coyote song
An echo to my own demand
A lonesome trail seemed forever run

There was no point I could reach out
For inside this cavernous land
Ten thousand Oak stood tall and proud
Which no touch could penetrate

But she, alone, took me at last
Like wind takes up a sail
Spring at last in to this land
Where wild flowers planted in pasture.

Lost Days (day 2604)

There are days when we get lost
Into windows of another dream
– A fraction of the cost
For a long line of never-did-try,
Yet even on the eve
Our bellies ache with unease.
Though when all is on the mantle,
We catch on, let to run
– Wild beasts become our name;
Visions flash before our eyes;
Wild nights turn into days of blood
Pumping through our passionate veins,
Which leave a strong mark upon
The rivets of our days,
Until, again, we call out
Through each windows we call our names.

Sky Fire (day 2578)

I’m running around with two lines, and I dont know how to die
My fierce warrior yells at me, reminds me: YOU ARE THE SKY
And hello in there, hello in there
Hello I am the wind
Beating down upon the night
As cold sets in
Then all at once
My faint whisper of hope; candle
Flickers, sputters, wavers, jumps
Then beats onward, my fire.

Amock (day 2520)

I’m an artistic soul who runs amock
Given in to too many fantasies
Only a hammer to my name
Come and enjoy loving hard
And long haired legged truth
Driving a hard bargain
With a straw hat for the sun
Leaves a weary worker
Leaning in for two more glasses
Reminding him of a ghost
Running deep in his blood
Scoffing at each new penny
Spent in mirths dear folly
Along the road of distant drumming.

Anymore (day 2487)

This is a passing by
A non-chance at running along
Losing hope in a rubbage pile
Of inconsistent bragging
Long lines that snake around
Two solid posts marked in red
Avoiding damage of the worst kind
While still maintaining
An innocent truth
Explaining how we just don’t know anything
Anymore.

On the Run (day 2256)

I am an outlaw on the run
Hear my voice see my gun
Find new horses at every ranch
River is my daily refresh.

Each night campfire is not lit
Though I lament not having warmth
A bedroll isn’t much sense
One eye open all night long.

I am an outlaw on the run
I hear coyotes calling every night
Starlight is my campfire light
Moon is my memory of home.

Mountain paths take me forever on
Guided by the sun
Constant watch for food that moves
I am an outlaw on the run.
