Open your heart
And I shall remain in tune
As if high notes were my lifeline
Screamed out upon peaks of high.
Bring forth such fury,
Where all movement remains
Locked hand in hand
With a long winded choir.
Lost in my lagoon I wander warily.
I think of night’s last spoken words
Echoing deep within my soul;
Resonating lifeline which
I reach out to
And lay them at my idle feet
Asking what shall then be done:
“What maketh thou of thine?”
For all the steps into thy forth
I reach out to my moon,
I reach out and ask myself
Upon the soil I walk:
“For with my gaze
That I spend forth
Away, into thy soul,
Where have I lost my only choice,
Where have I lost my voice?”
With wisdom I have become
A speaking voice for my tribe,
That let alone, that with my own
Shall spread throughout the valley.
And in this valley
Of my own soul
I spread out up to the peaks
And let my voice
Echo deep, and find the lasting grace.
Winter wears it’s colors proudly in this city
Fighting white with tropical greens
Peering around every West-Coast corner
Drab gray peaks and arches
Occasionally peak out from behind foggy haze
Curling around
Northern mountains
Leaving otherwise black vistas
With an icing-sugar like pose
After cold arctic winds
Blow off those quiet days
Maybe not everyday
But on the days it does
You look and smile and reach out
To say hello
A beautiful city that drags me forwards
With clouds so thick
And skies so blue
This city is weird, indeed
With a sun that hides
Most of the time
The streets here are filled
With a damp caress
Most of the time
It’s ok the sun doesn’t dictate
With it’s rays so golden
Most of the time
I drive forth, into the northern hills
With their peaks white and green
Most of the time
I want to run my hands
Along the coast of your heart
Down the ridge of your back
Along the peaks of your curves
I want to create these memories
Like sun baked carvings in the sand
Washed away with time
It was about the game rest assured
I want to traverse these cliffs
With the gravity of your kiss
Propelled with your hands
Gently urging me forth
I want to lounge in these valleys
Where the grass does grow deep
I want to lounge in these valleys
I want to sing with these trees
Wandering, wandering, wandering I go
Up and up and up it winds
Through the bush I gallop along
To the top, it won’t be long!
Crashing through the fields I go
One foot forward; keep moving on
The wildflowers here are radiant beauty
Up here so high, above the tree-line
The view, it seems, is perfect today
I’ve climbed so far, so far I’ve come
The top, I’m at, has all around
Valleys and peaks, and snow and lakes
But not for long, I do not fret
Soon it’s dark, it comes too quick
The path to go; a downward grade
Calls my name, and brings me home
