Old Entrance Door

What is wrong with crumbling ground
Dirt building up and softening corners
As messages to my former youth.

I met a truth I should have known
Though long ago I had forgotten then
Stolen by a bass kick drum.

Trim around my old entrance door
Has worn a little more since,
Stars still there to light my heart.

Don’t let me see it
Or I’ll run away with my low E chord
When this silence is unbearable.

Cracks again begin to open up
Time can test and I’ll whistle along
Nail and hammer I’ll carry on.

Inner Heart

Cold pangs of my inner heart
Have wildly swung amidst this wind
Clanging loudly against
Metallic edges of home
Where doors have been hung.

To aid my truth voice
In a song of no-mans-land,
I’ve wrapped my steel blades
In a leather sheath
To keep my quivering hand
From starting in a blur.

But pangs in message
– A lonesome call beyond forest’s wild –
Share what can never be drafted,
For a dove doth always take flight
Though eye’s embrace
Captures feverishly each beating wing
Against late mornings glow.

There doth echo
Memory once laid
And dreams yet played
For in a forgotten breath
A clang, a pang,
A caress of death
Deeply embraced
Amidst this inner heart.

Cold Fusion of the Mind

Cold fusion plugging my artery
Making its way into my brain
Locked in embrace
With two swines for dinner
Make me a salad if you please.

And a winedrop
Caressing the glass window
Spilled over with a passionate moment
Left a gray cloud
Hovering closely
To the carved portrait on the wall
With graceful messages
In times of need
To all those who took to listen.

And I never left the door open
To invite all the neighbours
Though they took all the mail
And ate the fridge dry
I wore my best suits
And tied my own tie.

Who listened when the podcasts were turned on?
Will the beet juice stain
Each keyboard with fury
Slowly running down the lips
Of the sweetheart
With eyes of translocation
Heavy on my mind.

Peaceful Protest (day 3195)

It wasn’t long before the crowd decided to gather
It was as if they had somewhere to be
Anxious and outbursts of anger
Flamethrowers from each their eyes.
They sang songs together of hope,
They sang the chorus in colour
The sang songs of hatred and peace
That scared the gathering police
And soon the rain clouds got angry
Torrenting down into the middle
Like bullets from by-standing police
Who swore they had nothing to do
With madness that ensued
For panic was an unending trip
In hearts of guests along the important strip
No longer singing together
With a message that was coherent
They were all babbling and sobbing with fear
And the rain clouds kept on pouring
Signs were all soggy and boring
One by one they were ripped up and thrown
To the ground who took it all in
Who in all of this madness remained calm.

Path (day 3121)

Did you think about the path
That took your shoes
From there to here?
Pebbles and roots
That touched your feet
And gave you
Little messages
That reminded you of a dream.
I woke today
With my clear dream
Where I watched
The ball of your foot
Circulate through
The forest so calm
And every step
That you took
Brought you silently to me.

Racket In My Brain (day 3081)

There’s a racket in my brain
That’s been gone for so long
That makes all the mess:
Chicklets on the table,
And memories of messages
Written in block
On beige walls of the cold school
Eluding so many.
This, as so,
Has taken up my mind
And left me unguarded
To the whims of the Mafia
We call World Order.
So where can I go?
Who can I look to?
For the racket in my brain
Seems to like all the rain.

Robot Spam (day 3061)

Overwhelming evidence suggests
We are no longer in the truth
Messages we receive
No longer from a voice of reason,
But instead the voice of treason
Set upon the stage so signed
In passwords and avatars
And like counts held high.
No longer is the news set straight,
Lies compounding lies
That echo in the mouths of trustworthy
Trying to think for themselves.
How can one, so misguided, so led false
Learn to find our truths?
How do we decipher them
From that abundant robot spam.
