Rage at the antics talking heads play
Forced to surrender, no other way
Lost is ancient, history’s gone
For a game of dollars, enemy’s way
Has taken our diversity
Plants natural genome
Genetically modified, organic no more
Infecting, irreversible turned our seed
Unrecognized, sterile, stale,
Yet to talking heads playing games
A patent awaits the honeybees bum
To take from the farmer lands that his hands
Have nurtured and worked,
Life giving no more.

Peak (day 2717)
Take me longer than I thought I could
For the land has gone sailed away
With a white breasted Blue Jay
Met two deer who could not stay
So I took a queue and found my way
To the highest peak on this day
That left me wondering if I would sway
For no ghost here could say
And I, left wondering in circles chewing hay
With two doctors who wouldn’t pay
A penny more for sasquachaway
Twice Today (day 2699)
She ran away to be
Lost in another land
For there she could always get
Coffee in a little cup
The foreign men whistled
In a sweet way
That always made her blush
And in her wallet
My once dear photo
Faded away to dust
And as she ordered
Another coffee
She asked in her foreign tongue
“Have you seen
Any good plays
Any thing going on?”
To which the kind man
Smiled at her
Asked her twice her name.
Warrior and Prince (day 2687)
You were a warrior
I, a mere Prince
Wandering this land
We met by pure chance
You with a gun
I with my lance
Warm by the fire
I had set by a fence
You told me of buffalo
I spoke of dance
Midnight approached
Magical moment
Our horses awaited
Saddles and trails
Fresh mornings
And sunlight.
No, Not Lost (day 2634)
I tried to make it out of here
To a land I’d never been
But as the roads
Familiar to me
Led me back again
I realized I had always been
Here, forevermore.
Into My Nest (day 2589)
Settled down into my nest
One to take me off
Into a land of such pure pleasure
– One I hardly remember –
One where I can leave behind,
At the drop of a nail,
To open up my eyes and stretch;
A new day is here.
Evening Moon (day 2587)
I shared my evening with Moon
Who called me out to sing
Amidst the blowing wind, still warm,
Among ten thousand stars aglow.
I sang my song of mystery
That flowed as river flows
Caught in dramatic scenes of adventure
Tales of foreign lands.
Many parts were left as vague
To keep full truths unknown,
A meagre lesson amidst the stars
Who’ve been around once before.
My soul, it spoke through all the smoke
Allegory or not: truisms,
That called me off to bed at last,
A fair sight for evening Moon.
Evening Prayers (day 2576)
Cold is another land I haven’t been to yet
For deep inside burns incessantly
The warmth I can ever get.
I love the truth that cannot help but to escape
Each filling breath that runs inside
Clear as I could dearly hope to be.
And as I step into this new darkened land
I shall remember to bring with me
The burning orb I’ve come to be.
Topsoil (day 2512)
Land is sprouting
Grass is green
Leaves are budding
Rain every day
Working begins
After Winter’s dormant
Shovel into this topsoil
Fertile Land (day 2509)
We walk together,
Straight cornrows
Topsoil mostly exposed,
Concerned with cover
Since Spring is here
And fertile land always grows.
Our first tracks
Through the earth
Respecting biodiverse,
Will find a way
To blossom our seeds
Bounty for all again.
