Midnight (day 2271)

You are a midnight that I watch
A tall letter written with love
Emotion twirling around the dance floor
In silk and leather attire
Sipping scotch in a dark corner
Watching every single eye contact
As patrons of the night
Denizens in full regalia
Touch shoulders and recognize
Hold each other in sweet embraces.
And your visage recollects
Games we’ve touched on,
Half unsuspecting
In a gypsy sort of way
Where decadence cannot ever decay
Because it rides tonight,
Midnight in your purse
Towards jewels hidden deep inside
The glimmer in your eye.

Leaf of Spring (day 1896)

There has been granted
Two leaves into my life:
One has been a jewel
One has been a cause.
And as it speaks its soul out loud
The vision becomes clear
And so does all the madness lay
Into a pit: despair.
But who should laugh?
Who should lament?
Who should run along the car?
Leave so slow, alone.
Who should drink the coldest drops
From deepest drop of well?
I am a poplar set in dirt
I am the fraying skin
But as my heart becomes again
I becometh leaf of spring.

Tiny Jewel (day 1099)

I’m asleep in a tiny jewel;
Happy, and my mind’s eye.
To freedom I’ve never given up.
A rhythm which is rhyme
And castles made of sand
Float wind swept grasses.
So high, so long.
And I am asleep in a tiny jewel;
With windows into-out-of
I crawl and drain sand,
Sifting my widowed beetroot
And surfacing divine;
Flat root / straight cut.
