Goodness grew up in a holiday town
A victim of circumstance
Faltered at the spinning wheel
Chance and fate could abide no more.
One million little pindrops
That held hands with knees that knelt;
Cannon for the triumph call
Of a Nation that goes unarmed,
Yet fights so mercilessly at
Windows of every vacant lot,
To grind away what deepest mysteries
Have ever dared to sit untold.

Big Limbed Tree (day 2910)
My love never walked away
Woke up and began to sing
Wild wild we’re holding hands
With a honey bee and a cherry tree
Singing songs on a sunny day
Merrier than a holiday
We’re here in joy with an alibi
To take another round on a paddle boat
And climb away into the big limbed tree.
Bender Sidenote (day 2856)
Bender with a sidenote of caffeine
Holiday mind
On a cool summer day
Watching air balloons migrate
Sideways in silence
Distant murmurs
Flicker as lightning
Through my ever present
Thought patterns
Desiring an escape
Into the wild unknown.
Plans of the Horseman (day 2522)
With a draft of my mind
A thought escaped in to
Window I sent amendment
Plans of the Horseman
Darkening landscape
Whisper deep in night
Holiday arise
A hand upon your shoulder
Step into forevermore
Daunting every move
Dry ice follows you
Remember what it takes
For apocalypse awaits
In a Holiday With You (day 2391)
I want to be in a holiday with you
Floating through life we would go
Trusting visions that lead us towards
Destiny we judge as master and slave
So easy upon our serious minds
Wind that floats and stars that glide
Through my holiday alone with you
Mended Arrows (day 1667)
I’ve left out all my wiles
For a holiday in heaven,
A turn upon the road
To reach where my heart is still as still can be.
You, you were always forgiveness,
You were the mended arrow
A light beyond my vision
But illuminating my walk.
And how come I’ve been dreaming
Of a memory I’m believing
When I’ve got all of my stories
In a rucksack on my back.
There were twenty one good reasons
To hold onto the heathens
As they quickly walked on past
All in excitement and pure jubilee.
But you, you are plenty appealing
You hold me in good standing
And have brought me all my planning
That’s been brought out in the end.
So darling, reach out your good hand,
A wand of my believing,
To make my heart forever bleeding
As an arrow for your sweet light.
Precious Moments (day 1445)
Precious moments found inside silence,
Inside floating,
Inside crisp envelopes
Opened with a sharp knife,
Wait like a foreign Uncle
Who’s unaware of customs,
Unaware of time changes,
Unaware that foreign currencies
Cost in translation.
Precious moments are our forgiveness
And our floral holiday
Lightly cloaked in a daydream.
Hot sun on the patio
And sirens invisibly floating by,
Followed closely by breeze
Amongst full branches of a willow
And a lost call of a gull,
Precious.
