To Make This Ending Alright (day 540)

There is no age that is old enough
There are no journeys long enough
No steps that take you high enough
No song that lasts long enough
To make this ending alright

Your infinite smile that greeted guests
Lingers long after the visit rests
Lawnmower rides with a mile wide smile
Together, no memory strong enough
To make this ending alright

The time we’ve shared
Has taken me into a land
Far beyond dreams and into
The hands of strength and belief
To make this ending alright

So now is not the time to fret
Time to weep into our sorrow
It’s time to praise the lasting life
That fills our remaining breath
To make this ending alright

~this poem is to give strength to all of you out there, healthy or sick, to fight and enjoy every last breath you have~

Soiled Sheets (day 511)

I stole your dreams last night
Midnight robbery without a tip
I rode the pony down to its knees
Dreaded the walk through the rain
I pounded the earth with bloody hands
Leaving behind my conscience
Sucked dry of all sense
Did you plow the field before you reaped the land?
Road-trips pull me away from time
Lands I’ve never bled dry
Spoiled meats and canyon jerky
Deep kisses and soiled sheets

Earth in A Lover (day 440)

Stars stretch from the middle of undying hands of a lover
Crisp and bright and forever in my eyes until tomorrow
The day that never arrives, that holds fast in the horizon
One moment at which is always averted with longing eyes

Starting with scraps of freshly cut hearts laid smooth
The outside pieces of a perfectly carved out heart
Three spots of glue to forget the damage done
Pages that now have the attention cold hands didn’t have

Tugging slowly at papers
Falling
Wind
We return
It is earth

Silken Sheets (day 428)

That night as the warm wind blew through the unsettled windows
Driving armies of little prickles down the side of my exposed legs
Drawing warmth from the naked maiden, eyes closed, semi-lucid
But the myth of time that ticks silently on in the blurry distance
Calls out names that ring familiar through my ears
Itching at the lost memories that shan’t return again
Smiling at the pure maiden of the sweet summers night
And knowing it won’t last much longer in spite the desolation it entails
Grabbing hands tear at the strings laid upon my back
And I sit back down, resting my frayed hairs upon the silken sheets

If You Had It All (day 422)

If you had it all
Would you be satisfied
Would you walk along the beaches
Knowing the world was in your hands?

If you had it all
Would the sun set upon your brow?
Would you play with the birds
And know that you had won?

If you had it all
Would the answers be known?
Would you never begin a tear
Knowing that it would bring you no answer?

If you had it all
Would you hope for something more?
Would you stare into the night sky
Knowing he was looking back?

Hands (day 274)

I’ve never felt your hand like this
Grasping at the loosely tied bows
Perhaps I missed the train
Perhaps I watched it spray off
Into the frost bitten nights air
Perhaps I hugged it goodnight
Sending it away with warm thoughts
And a wet conscience
I’ve always known your hands like this
Delicately tromping around in the heavy breaths
I’ve never watched the night sky go down
Like the way you imagine it with me
Like the way you want to hold it to me
Perhaps tonight, as you gaze
Upon the crystal clear star-lit sky
You’ll get those shivers all over
I’ve always known when your hands do this

Fever in Its Haze (day 253)

From upright
To a 4 point stance
Spinning again
In this grand romance
With eyes that pierce
And a devilish smile
If it so chooseth
To come play a while
For, in an instant
Like the sweet curves
Her hands have made
In subtle murmurs
In this mesmerizing dance
A world can change
Joy into lost
Fever in its haze
Throbbing into lust

Lost Lovers (day 227)

The wind sweeps through like the souls of lost lovers
Chilling the blinds as they flap lifelessly in the delaying sunlight
Spreading it’s thoughts deep amongst the floorboards
Littered with memories and superficial decay
Time keeps carrying the wanderers on
Further and further into the romance we only get little glimpses of
This is the distance we only know as silent observers
Holding hands with thoughts we’ve only dared read in books

Health (day 212)

The consumption clogs the hallways
Deep within the darkest corners of the buying stations
Slopes of plastics enters the sea

Free our trees and hold our hands
Lets make a change for a better land

Arousal of the senses
Clean off the health chips
Make the change to freedom abroad

Cool your showers off in spite the greed
And lean your weight in

Lets make this a plan and hold all debits
Clear the mind of deathly consumption bug
Leave your hands swollen with pride
