I realize my game has lost momentum
No longer playing with Neptune and Mars
But hormones and galaxies
Wise words and future revelations.
I watch grass blow in the wind
And robins search unending
For a game no longer visible
But in the heart, always remains
What momentum’s friendly name.

Itchy Memories (3200)
Inspiration has laid waste
To a plethora of heart songs
And itchy memories,
Each of which stands tall
On the distant horizon
Glimmering in a sea of illusion
That makes it hard to look back at.
For the sun beats down so strong,
And ghosts most definitely do
Walk here amongst us.
There will never come a time
When they fade away,
For my last lifetimes visions
Still slide with me
And my future lifetimes
Still visit me,
But today I still do not look back
For this road forward
Still has clear recognition
To which I need not gamble
To play at.
Glowing (day 3051)
Glowing
I walked my steps into my future kingdom
Faltering not
Ellipsing my vision
Like a great Bald Eagle
Narrowing its vision
Through a gust of wind
Whence brought him here.
Rock on a Stick (day 3006)
There it was
Just sitting there
Rock on a stick
Memory and future
Like a sentinel
Bearing in the frost
Reminding thy breath
How uncovered it gets
And how simple
Answer’s truth doth lay.
The Nature in You (day 2776)
I would like to get to know you more
Inspecting wild flowers on a bright day
Hold hands with future’s memories
Learn your every ray
From seaside to mountain top,
I’d like to get to know you more.
I’d like to see the stars in your eyes
And the clouds upon your brow
Wake each morning to your sunshine
And fall asleep each night to your moon.
I’d like to learn what you understand
Get lost in your dreamy swoon,
See the dragons in your breath
I would like to get to know you more.
I’d like to learn what you would say
When I could learn to communicate
What storm was on my mind,
There I might find your embrace
That took me into a deep swell
Comforting my inner sea
Where I could learn how you fit to me
Every valley, every mountain,
Every you that shared with me
I would like to get to know you more.
Misspent Soldier (day 2711)
They were called away
To a promised future
No clear sight far ahead
Vague plans, subtle promises,
Fame in modern times unment.
They mounted and faithfully
Road into the scene
No one there to greet them
No romantic sending off.
When skies turned blood red,
When comrades lay side by side
When torture was their enemy
No cotton handkerchief blew drying
For everyone was buckled down
Amidst chaos of the finest hour
A mission of uncertainty
And further, urgency
Flew towards in shrapnel
Devastating times of war.
At home awaited news at every hour
Mother, father, sister too
Hot soup for dinner every night
Hot tea to wake up to.
A Door (day 2561)
I scrape loose ends
I know nothing
Behind doors exists darkness
My mind is blank
I cannot read the future
Waterfall (day 2350)
I spun a wheel
To look into the future
Two elephants roared
Stampede for the gates
And then I called
An opening
Two monks emerged
Heads hung low
Humming to themselves
I watched them go
I wondered then
Who could have known
For laughing loud
Waterfall
Future (day 2323)
Where is our future
If the youth of today
Are a timelines status
And a programmed computer
Our workforce
Where will we be when
Our ten thousand followers
Gobble our every word?
Motivation for their lives?
Where is our future
If even our leaders
Cannot speak words of truth
Do not display ethics
Ten thousand people should hold?
When do we realize
We are not in control?
When we are no longer listening
To our inner wisdom?
Instead, steadfast and determined
To follow the voice
Of this flickering display.
Moon at Midnight – Part XXXXXVII (day 2031)
When we arrived to our village
There was quite a commotion going on
Upon inquiring
We learned that Mountain Chief
Had also just returned from a meeting
He had been at with other Chiefs
He was happy to see Moon Cow and I
And, along with the elders
We all went into the big teepee
And had talks.
We learned that every day
The U.S. Army was getting more and more aggressive
With locating and systematically
Forcing all the tribes onto
What they were calling ‘Treaty Lands’,
Reserves, they said, for our safety
And to uphold our traditions
Mountain Chief shared a few stories he had heard
About the U.S. Army promising everything
But then once the papers were signed
They were not respected
And abused
And had even heard of some tribes
That had been slaughtered
Once they had signed the treaty.
Even worse,
The tribes that didn’t sign
Or refused to sign
Were declared enemies of the country
And hunted like outlaws
Mountain Chief had told many
About where what we had done
Though they most likely already knew
But there were a few others that were following our lead
And going further into the mountains
It was hard though
To leave their traditional land
An act of cowardice to some of the Chiefs
An act that they would refuse to do
With their heads held high
As they went into battle.
I greatly respected Mountain Chief
For the sacrifices he had made
To bring us here
No doubt he was criticized for his actions
And he, himself, probably thought about it too
But he had his vision
Which had led him here
And he was a proud man
And we all trusted him with our lives
He was our leader.
We learned of many of the other tribes
Particularly the Sioux
Who were not our friends
Fighting the U.S. Army,
Even the Canadian government
In the East
Was trying to do the same with the tribes
The RCMP was then doing their dirty work
Some of the tribes were fighting them
Nobody liked to hear all this news
It was a scary time for everybody to think
About what the future meant.
