To Love Me (day 2456)

Have you really known what it means to love me
Hand in hand with darkness we dance alone
Every little bit my heart has shaded
And I’m here again looking in.

When you slowly crawled into the waves I’ve blind
I turned my eyes with the sun following you down
Lights reflecting this glassy night
I follow the moon I never knew around.

Have you really known what it means to love me
Without softness to caress a breath I never had
Torment daily by a heart that isn’t mine
No words to call you here tonight.

A Thought to Darkness (day 2419)

Alone I walked into the sea
To bare my naked chest
I stood here staring into darkness
And no voice returned back at me
No cry was heard from my mouth
No quiver upon my lip
For virtue had led me to here
Neither shame nor blame held me
And to this eye I stared right back
No wrong turn had been made
My toil left me up to my neck
My strength helped me breathe.

River in My Bloodstream (day 2413)

Listen to the raindrops
Finding my way home
A whisper in the darkness
Memory now long gone

Can’t listen to the rhythm
Rabbits in my ears
Folding up our broken stream
Holding out my hands

River in my bloodstream
Paddling my way home
Setting out my darkness
I grew up here again

Swimming out past midstream
Dagger in my plan
Rugged from the north land
Leaving there my heartbeat

Monkey Changes (day 2383)

Monkey changes sweet summer night
Lips through darkness my mind free
Red light tropical under the sea
Hello dear friend, hello bass line
Hello turtle shell reverb echo
Overgrown, my weathered seed
Corner darkness and my eager eyes
Whether you come home with me or not
Change my song until it’s dawn
And let me see (sing) you again.

Dagger (day 2359)

She sailed away into the sea
Cold as darkness could ever be
In one hand a compass led her on
The other a dagger for those done wrong.

She cursed the air from time to time
Forgetting where she laid her locket
A secret of heart she dared not share
A lover who danced no more.

It happened in darkness, dead of night
When two white doves flew the nest
Softly did the dagger slip
Into the ribs of what dared her on.

Some nights as fever woke her up
Swaying in her seafaring hammock
She saw a vision: reminisce
A Good-by kiss slipped out her lips.

And so in darkness the North Sea Queen
Sail set down for evening dormant
Watched the full moon reflect longing
A name she called no more.

She’s Watching There (day 2334)

When the winter darkness
Comes from the deepest hearth
She’s watching there
She’s watching there
She’s in her lair
In the deep North Sea
With daggers hanging
Crows hovering
With spells brewing
She’s watching there
When your soul is calling
And begging for mercy
In ten thousand cold laments
When your hair is matted
And clothes are rumpled
And food is cold
She’s watching there
In the deep North Sea
When winter darkness
And frozen sea spray
Retreats into your heart
She’s watching there
Cold ice Queen
North Sea Queen.
