Landed (day 1243)

Landing in an unaware time
I’ve settled in oh… just fine.
Crawling over loose remains,
Curtains and leggings all have stains.
But breath and love; inhale, exhale,
Lifeline matters align each gale,
Upward lifting passages prevail
Eyes wide upon this afternoon sail.

Crimson Shakes (day 864)

Waking with the burden on my back
Crawling the narrow channels of my neck
Pain so deep it speaks off the walls
And drips into my uncomfortable cocoon
I’ve disturbedly rolled out flat
Fire engine red blares in and out
Of conscious moments of reality
This is a space between spaces
No quarter for heavy thoughts
Too where light falls upon closed eyes
That slips back into crimson shakes

Shifting Recollections (day 651)

Guess my gold and what all that I am worth
With these eyes that tell old stories
Through wordless reminders of the past

Desire nothing, save for future
And present fades away to blackened stars
I couldn’t have forgot the tired distance
Though my heart loudly telling me it’s flat

And from there my angels come crawling out
Into the gold seats I lay out in front
Of the words I spread with blood so thick
While today’s past, present, and future
Shifts hues and recollects artifacts

Transformations (day 500)

Searching and crawling through these empty streets
They call my name but I heed them no attention
Memories caught up in my thoughts like tumbleweeds in a corner
Hot water failing to warm my shaking bones
Sunlight stretching into the corners my toes fail to remain
And I cry with streaking mascara and ugly sobs
Deeply lamenting the loss of all that’s been known
Holding onto something that’s simply figurative

And then, like a slowly falling leaf from the nearby tree
A quiet calm flows over the angst and tremors
Little sparks of light gather at the tips of my toes
My brow begins to smooth as I close my eyes and smile
Children playing comes into focus
And the tea smells just as it should
A transformation undergoes just as the turning of seasons
And the lightness of my steps

Dead Wings (day 494)

Sliding along the path of garlic breath and breast implants
I rescue the old boys from the war trenches in the midst of darkness
Crawling along the carpet so soft
I send my spike into the unknowing bowels of the staunch soldier
With death as a fragrance I sing a tune in my head
Beating so hard my heart mutes out all other voices
Angels and of course the demons that cry into my ears
Send me into tomorrow upon the wings of a god

Here Before (day 310)

Seduction just happened
It just walked through that door
The salacious humor crawling
Around my haven ce soir

But before I moved further
Before I groped for the dainties
I smelled sweet surrender
I felt what had grown
As these vines here before

So to pack on more lust
We crowded around the centerfold
We crushed on the crowns there
That had never been soiled

But to remember the last show
Was to slow for the gang
We slapped on the new face
And respected more for the glow
Of the walking here before

Listless (day 264)

Listlessly dreaming of a flat open plane
A horizon so still that the sun never sets
Waiting for a turn in the road to break my concentration
Eyes turning beet red from the heat of the moment
Dry air beating against my parched eyes in an attempt to clear off the steam

Sick and twisted lines cross the illuminated barriers
Intelligence calls my own lines to be blurred
Solid as they are, drawn as they list-fully praise
Crawling on all fours they go, tail between their legs
I sit and wonder where the time has ever gone

Gnawing (day 24)

Rooted deep within all circles of evil
Crawling on all fours for much better grip
Lurking with anticipation for a glimpse of weakness
The eye of the beholder is critically acclaimed

Soap and suds and weakness of knees
Sprinkled with the disaster of planned picnics
Try the harlequin approach; matted and mixed
Speak of the devil, sins approached epic; unheard

Socialize, civilize, advocate, demonize
Restate the obvious for clandestine passengers
Gargle the soul out from under the skies
Reign down your thunder with an eclipse and blunder

The days parade has slid away quietly
Marching bands stopped for swill; a plunder
Phallic imaginations carrying symbols
You’re young, your day will soon come
