Once and a while
To hear the birds
Sweetest reprise
Morning sunrise.
Once and a while
With tulip in bloom
Caught in the moon
Sail away my gloom.

Building Strength (day 3068)
Would you follow me
Into depths of wonder;
A lion slowly looking back
Before entering its den.
And like the fanning feathers
Of an egret,
Would you care to my aging aims,
Darkened by time’s toil
Against that which is bad?
For my gravity is open,
My heart beats pure
In a bloom for your entering,
And I am trying
To hold my pen and my hammer
As I build for tomorrow.
A Dance Too Good For Life (day 3038)
As if the earth could ever see
Darwinian modes of ease
To see a leaf upon a tree
Blowing about the stem
Back and forth with every grace
A dance I could never trace
Delicate as a flower in bloom
Tough as nails that close a tomb
To anchor a setting sun
Upon the branch that bursts the buds
Then grouping in a seasonal array
One of Summer’s finest delights
That change the landscape one dare not stop
For as the bud shifts to a stem
Stem to a new growth
New growth takes the sprint of life
To bursting red and orange and brown
Then in one last graceful dance
A leap too good for chance to take
Downward left to fall away
Death pose into finale.
Beyond My Morning Window (day 2857)
I’m not sure how this thing Time has passed
It seems like I just awoke
With little birds singing harmony
To the morning’s sky, so red.
Hardly had I time to think
About the tasks awaiting,
Hardly had I recited my praise
For ever blooming life
Unfolding it’s very wings
Right beyond my window.
Poppy Tongue (day 2809)
Gathering green
Poppies grow
Into black-hearted splend
A gift of earth,
So many, a curse,
But each their own desire
And funneling to
Each tip, thy pestle
For gardening deserves
What bloometh brings
Delight upon
Thy very tongue
That choose it
To linger.
Your Song (day 2804)
Your heart beat upon mine, so,
That left me listening;
A window opened for my depth.
Here, I tarried at this sweetest scent
Making you the only known
As I witnessed an orchid open into bloom
I held my hand so strong
Against the sweetness on my tongue
And rhythm abreast my chest.
Your Sunshine (day 2677)
Will your sunshine
One day wake me
Showing me morning
Next to thee
Teaching me a smile
In the waking hour
Warmth no cover
Should keep within
Then our Springtime
Forever near
Shall bloom together
Hearts grow dear
Death (day 2556)
Death
Abandonned to sweet bloom
Caressing the cruel wind
Against crooked rocks
At Prometheus’ lookout
Come at thine leisure
ArcAngel Serenity
Ode to a Honey Bee (day 2221)
Your lazy way fills up my mind
With honey bags full and plump
So heavy that your wandering
Feels delightfully like a wobbly jaunt
Hand in hand again.
It reminds me of days spent
Lounging in floral gardens,
Where I, too, did float about
From yellow, pink, and purple too
Into deep recesses of sacred jewels.
You dance in front of my very eyes
Miraculasly grabbing hold of flowers
So delicate looking and forever blooming
Scarcely able to hold your weight,
Now stuffed so full with sweet gold
And off to home you go.
Jamboree (day 2191)
Display my song upon a branch
Next to leaves that swing
I’ve become a drop of sunshine that
Is flowing through each tree.
Be my smile within a bloom
A symphony of beaming joy
I woke here with such helpful hands
Shining through in every way.
Let my movement carry energy
That floats like a gypsy bus
Side to side and turning wide
Jamboree through each squeaky hub.
