I am a bite sized piece
A momentum of contemplate
Long and slow
Not desperate but calculate
Envisioned
Whilst remaining
A bitter enemy
Of the elaborately ornate,
Consumed and consumer,
Wasted by a miracle
Of engineered ingenious
And needlessly desired.

Blackflies in the Forest (day 2844)
Swarmed
Crawling
Unseen bites
Apples (day 2538)
I dream of an apple that comes in many varieties
One so diverse it can only be spoken of in gutteral movements
So loud it can hardly be swallowed
And so vivacious that even clowns turn their heads and stare.
And when this apple has bent down low,
A bounty shall follow as nectar flow
Fruitful seeds spread in spring rains
Cracking open splendor of new mirth;
Of each crunchy bite
A heart of gold emerges
Pallette of sacred union
As a cider by the fire.
A Path (day 2432)
I’m not trying to let you down
No, this isn’t me leading you
This isn’t a game
Where I roll the dice,
Make the calls
And you follow
Anxiously trying to grasp
The next move
To believe you had made
The better choice.
I’m here to talk to you,
To bite first upon your supple skin
To hold your hand
As we take each other higher
Upon the path of our desires
That anxiously awaits
To share our stories,
That believes so effortlessly
We have a reason to live
In servitude for each other,
While remaining unbelievably strong
In our hearts
So we can fully grasp hold
Of our purest magnitude,
Giving freely the most valuable asset
Of my heart.
Bite (day 1855)
I am the legion
The masses trained for ruling
The spiritual drunkenness
The riders of steeds
So heavily brute
I am the fearless
The silent approach
And the mastered assult
With an aim locked
On a silver bullet:
Bite.
Into the Glen (day 1558)
As I sat in patience at a corner of my walk
Two oddly shaped pebbles looked back at me
As if saying: “All is well, all is good, have peace my brethren.”
To my surprise, illicitly, a tree sprouted up about.
It’s trunk was wide, a perfect brown peeking out from vertical alcoves
That suspended my thought – my memory – upon our mother.
I took notice of curled leaves brushing against my knees,
In sweet peace, in tranquility; gentle cooing of a romantic lover.
Her sweet embrace casually led me down sloping grass to a calm pond
Tickled by weeping willows and lily pads saying: “My, what a fine day, stay a while.”
So I stayed. I watched loons and swans swim endless loops – mindless to my observant eyes,
Finally settling on the same well kept slopes I rested upon,
Filled with little paths serving the gentle commotion.
At once I noticed clambering of little soldiers
Setting into order all disorder in a huff and bite.
So I took my patience back a padded path to where I had found my pebbles to bid them a good day
Carrying on, all the better, for my foray into the glen.
Gardening in Shorts (day 1102)
Little things
That bite and bite
Take away my sanity
Whirlwind (day 933)
Leaves fly around the whirlwind
Sheltering the misunderstanding
From memories that crawl
Over cold stone floors
Scraping well-worn wooden chairs
Hollow echoes reverberating
Through the whirlwind
I cannot shelter a dove
One whose wings sweep the fresh air
Flapping through autumns deep and husky caress
I cannot Angel the Satanic circles
Pressed between my lips
Biting hard on the whirlwind
That stares, no, floats down my long nose
But then, just as long sands sweep starboard
Just as couches recede into forgiven nightmares
And as hollow steps fade into brisk airs of dawn
Whirlwinds shake down the last remaining hope
Caressing it with intimate kisses and blueberry muffins
And a comfort filled with such sentiment
Teddybears peel off their 2D stares and flicker smiles
That melt mirrors and write happiness into loose leaves
Floating off into the wide expansive whirlwind
Mosquito Bite (day 766)
Buzzing invincibility
Exposed skin
Little white ichy bump
Winters Walk (day 537)
Cold winter’s setting in
Nights that bite, winds that snap
And an old dog that’s looking good
With a shiny coat thick and black
Friendly vigor as he rolls around the familiar path
Mismatched mitts, a warm winters tuke
And a scarf that wraps right around twice
M’neck’s nice and warm
My nose’s running fast
While my feet carry me home from a walk
