Materialize (day 3217)

The nay-sayer spoke
In his un-safe tongue
That scared the mothers
Who scolded their babies
And banished the fearless
And awoke hysteria
That ripped the hearts
From youth and bold
Who began their plotting
Behind closed doors
Until a collective vision
Cleared their minds
And they awoke
Materialized.

Un-Changed (day 3138)

When the wild worlds awoke
A thunderous cackling was heard
Mystics remained calm
But civilians, no they ruptured
Into the great wide open hands
Of the Gods they revered.
Some, well, some squandered their money
Buying useless diplomas and
Servitude obligations.
Some fell to darkness with devices
Emitting radioactive lights
And chaotic beeping.
Some fell into wildness
Like the river in Spring
Bounding over freshly fallen trees
And moss so thick
It became a cloak for their own dreams.
There was no end promised
To the deafening roar,
No scientific projection
Or mathematical calculation
That could speak for the Gods
Who had thus become maddened.
And in the end,
Well, there was no end
For it was never signaled,
Never announced over loudspeaker
Like each modern God so famed to do,
It was subtle, and thus remained unchanged.
It was the civilians
Who had changed, too busy caught up
To notice that they had changed
And what they had changed for
Had long since been gone away.

Absence (day 3089)

With windows
I walked to my ledge
Found out inside
What depth I could hide
Too late
Too long.

With flowers
I held out for more
At the brink of each thought
So that seers could smell
No more
No right.

With sky
I woke into day
An open escape
Eyes of an eagle
So big
So deep.

And with forest
I called out unanswered
So each sentence was cleared
In absence of distraction
I lay
I awoke.

Sweetest Song (day 2997)

Sing to me your sweetest song
I heard you singing over there
Append to that a touch of heart
I crave for, like morning to start.

Should each new day
Bring me your so-sung song
I should fall into eternal reverie
At once awoke and set so free.

Long ago I wondered if
A bird’s sweet song could be sung again
And at every chance I so spun
I listened on so intent.

Then I heard you open up
With such lyric that touched my heart
At once I was deeply touched
And longed again: your sweetest song.

Little Letter (day 2955)

She awoke and set her limits
No longer wishing, praying
Betting on lust over magic
For her pressure was magic
And lust was present
Betwixt forefinger and thumb
Madness and numb
Flutter and bang
Hollywood and Georgia
And with one long step
Knee high and leather
Lust’s little letter
Dropped in to visit.

Empty and Deep (day 2943)

When I sung the rhythm I had heard
When I awoke to what my soul knew
I damaged my ending that grew so tall
Deepness I had lost so well
Closed a window, let go my hold.

When I walked so heavy footsteps
I yelled my name in vain
I sunk my teeth into giant fir
Wilting at the corners of
My jagged sharpened heart.

When I sat and stole two moments of
Silence gathering all around
I witnessed a closing balance
That took my mind away
Leaving me with ten thousand spaces
Previously occupied my mind
Held now for emptiness
No depth that I could feel remained.

Awoke (day 2907)

You awoke me.
Motionless I stood there
Agape for your heart.
I sank my teeth
Into the sinue of your breath,
Waiting for no signal:
All had been spent.
My Self unfurled
At the gates of your openness.
Your divine tenderness
Whispered sweetly
Into the microphone of my soul,
And the tune
That rested within my heart
Was beating I felt closely
In the beating of your heart.

Agreeing To Be Depth (day 2850)

I am awoke by change
No longer mind frame
A Chancellor of fate
Calling to his wild.
Gods are word-spells
Agreeing to be depth,
For this shall – and will not –
Be a poster boy for stagnate.

Lessons are ritual,
Observation a practice,
Mind-spend: currency,
And Gaia a dotted map
For discovering a new way,
No longer to submit
Anchoring of truths
In unconscious fits
Of anxiety and loss,
Amidst coldness
With sugar dust
Toxic sold bliss.
