Into the Dusk (day 423)

From out beyond the wind swept distance
A lone figure walks steadily
Into the day I dream a bit
Of what could be their mission
Perhaps it was to seek an answer
Perhaps it was to wander
Perhaps there would be no way to solve
This riddle, even living in the shoes

The figure that I watch go
Pauses every now and then
Watching up, towards the sky
As companions keep the way
And I, a bystander, silently cheer
While the sun continues to whip
Towards the West, the horizon: bold
The light we cannot hold

For there we charge
Into the dusk
The eyes that cannot see
From here we lurk
The empty land
As the sun it cannot fill
The marching time
Shall soon present
What then shall escape us no more

A Bird (day 381)

Today I saw an angel flying
It had two wings of fame
It spoke to me
In high pitched tones
It rapped about the glass
I held my hand
It landed close
The world was ours to share
But tomorrow
It shall return
I too shall sing its song of the earth
Memories shall grow old together

Kiria (day 361)

Kiria with your pink
You’ve bellowed out the masses
You’ve stunned the level works
And believed in yourself
Fired off the bullocks
Left the confused unconfused
Been portrayed as a monster
Been stuffed into boxes
Been forgotten at the end
And revived with a passion
Perhaps we’ll forgive you
For the destruction tonight
Perhaps we’ll remember
The confused band left behind
Perhaps this Peroni
With leaves like a Greek
Shall lead you your way
Into the forgotten labyrinth

Nobbin (day 360)

Parables
Floating through the air
Fishing out the last
Remains of indiscriminate bastards
Fuck the loose mentality
That we’re all ok
Fuck the smart girl
She has never worn dignity
Like the whore walking Main

Swim the mighty canal
Float the gnarly seas
Figure the angels wings
As they cloud your sober mind
Unlike the hairy bastard
Who prances around like the fool
Fuck the merry longfellow
When he turns around to glance a blow

Then the tulips that have been stolen
From the figured lands of the holy
They’ve been tainted like a bastards tongue
Of the King’s royal litter
But the holy men that haven’t kissed me
Shall linger by their pole
The wine toting maidens
Shall throw eyes my way once more

It’s business as usual
Down at the Hawley; torn and blown
I’m not here to pull on your
Thunder you’ve bloated with
I’m not going to steal what matters
To your lambs and whithered tongues
I’ve left your silly buggers
To dance your awkward dance

So hug your merry bastards
Lay your fingers down
I’ve left your countenance long
I’ve let you pull your fingers as you may
Don’t whip your hair
Your greasy hair
I’ve worn your stripes
I’ve calmed your mare

Nobbin, bloody nobbin

Mother (day 355)

Your honesty is overwhelming when you walk away like that
Here I am pouting, you talk on your phone
Clearly I’m demanding attention from you, mom
Clearly you’re not interested, lame bastard I am
These marks on my being will forever be scarred
I cannot forget them, ingrained in my conscience
I will grow old and remember with contempt and disdain
Perhaps not this moment, but many like it will come

Mother, please help me
I need your kind patience
Help me to find it
What will make me a man
Then in my pastime
When idle and old
I’ll remember you fondly
As a good mother should be

Just Then as it is Now (day 348)

Amongst these cobblestones and brick walls
Our fathers in a different suit roamed
They sang clearly and loudly about
What we were to become; an industrial lot

But then, just as the sun that has risen
The fallout has taken back what we once knew
Left us senseless, racked with new disease
One which has filled up many new holes

Maybe there was foresight
Clouds parted and the voices were heard
Perhaps it was neither ethereal or hard
Just then, as it is now

Sun (day 328)

I have wandered these busy streets
With nothing but the friends in my head
I’ve screamed out loud
At the top of my lungs
And only the birds do seem to respond
A ghost has come and taken my brother
It’s swept him away from my life
But then, in good faith
Placed back in my path
A soldier of fortune
Upon which I rest
If fills up my smile
It shades in my hair
It lingers around as I walk
Today I smile
Because I am alive
I am a soldier in the mail

Purchase Me (day 321)

Forever the long list of needs pulses through the veins of the victims
Struck upside the head with the wand of needs, there is no relent from the victimized dissent
But dizzy, dizzy as it goes shall lead the stray flock to madness
Searching for the illustrious water that eludes even the thriftiest of wanderers
“How dare you try and steal my gems you require for the breath of life,
I have them here to look at and tell me I’m pretty!”
Language invades the concept of thought as it carries slogans
And catch phrases into the night with brand names and price tags stuck nicely upon thy mind

Does the search end in triumph? Does it gratify the seeker?

How dare you pose these stupid, senseless questions forth in a time of such need
You dumbfounded nit worth half his weight in shit!
Do you think you can stop the bubble of growth?
The power of the exponent shall push you aside in unmitigated power!
Animate your mind man! Animate your soul! Find what your worth and spend it hapless
Spend it until your broke, and borrow upon that!
Spend it until the bankers seize up your boat, foreclose your home,
Steal away your children and rape your own wife who sits idly smiling
As your dragged off in chains by the two large men carrying baseball bats and suits
Hand in hand she sits with a new purse and slicked hair
Life is great now, life is all good

Kiss Me (day 318)

Kiss me where bruises have passed
Kiss me where love letters have left worn marks
Kiss me with a passion that I now say once was

Kiss me behind the layers of knowledge
And screens of memories
That litter the road home
From far away fields

Kiss me around the gates of long nights
That have creaked around
Weathered corners of yesterdays mail

Kiss me beneath the warm blankets
That isolate terror without
The long list of memories within

Kiss me around the clock
Like the tick tock that echoes through these halls
Bouncing from ear to ear in a fun game of pinball
Endlessly racking up points to find us a winner
