As lights went out
We sat in darkness
Snow had left its mark
A dusting upon the heart
And what remained
Heartbeats ever darkness
Covered the world as mycelia does
Spinning moon shadows
Weaving and cutting
Familiar objects out of a new world
And our eyes focused lazily
On fire keeping the warmth.
