Back For More (day 871)

Cause I left it draped
Over the side of the bed
Where smells and wrinkles flutter
Through the edges of my mind
A certain order to chaos exists
Making me cry, I’m so alive
And I will lift my toes lightly when I walk
To make you love me
Even if you don’t know the name of my song
Even if I’ve left you one hundred times before
I’ve fallen down baby
And I’ve come back for more

Shoulder Blades (day 863)

I could date your exposed breast
Swim along the raw curve of your crest
Dance nimbly with the lightness in your toes
Forever fight away your foe

I could climb the arc up to your neck
Delightfully covering with sensual pecks
Draw circles in a downward spiral
Delight upon your navel

I could fall beneath your back
Hands held lightly in their attack
Your shoulder blades holding my thumb
Down the center towards your bumb

I could live in here forever
A desire exploding like fever
Setting in to depths untold
Light spaces behind me unfold

Without (day 771)

Without words no man can swallow
Without ideas no man can think
Without legs no man can follow
Without heart no man can provide
Without hands no man can support
Without eyes no man can sympathize
Without toes no man can wade
Without fences no man can defend
Without green no man can spring
Without skin no man can feel
Without hair no man can mind
Without voice no man can speak
Without you no man can be free

Slumbers Edge (day 769)

And I the wild wonderer
In peace’s embrace
Sharing splendid solitude
With sunset’s hues
Tickling my toes
With warm lapping water
Pants then be rolled up
To half mast thy knee
And off in the distance
Summer night noises ring out
Young men of mischief
Swamp frogs lament
Bat fluttering hither
Mosquitoes racing thither
And across the calm lake
In desperate moments of light
The last mooring boat
Settles in for the night
Campfire left smouldering
In the wake of many (hot)dogs
And I, toes now dripping
Make my way to slumbers edge

Spilt Blood (day 741)

You had me in your charms before
When you desired me in your mouth
Locked me with your legs around
Between plans: a desired future

Swimming was I here
Ignoring sharks nibbling my toes
I tucked in the corners
Stuffed coffee with brown sugar

When the aphrodisiac kicked in
I was helpless to your gin – sin
Locked into waning hours in delight
That spilt my blood upon good hands

Then danced I to the sounds above
Culling my mind: ease into dinner
For racked I was in love and lust
Desperate to grow; forever to learn

So I yelled into a hallow bowl
Shed tears soiling silken scarves
Pulled my hair in ghastly chunks
Went to sleep in a bed of thorns – crowns

But now I cull the passing strangers
Purge them with eyes of daggers
Pour my soul into mason jars
Erase words before they’ve spoke

Deep Crimson Baskets (day 658)

Shallow pools of unspoilt water
Sit below a Betty Crocker window
With hanging deep crimson baskets
That fill the air
With freshly baked flowered Mondays
Spreading out is the pony picket fence
That shines White House Tuesday
Separating the gumshoe green grass
From the oilskin decay
Of the Red Riding Hood forest
Sporting Wednesday’s haircut
Half-way there
Here’s where the country house patio
Holds the dad’s weekend project picnic table
Thursday’s moldy sandwiches
Crawls into cracks upon the Indian paintbrush deck
Where Friday morning dew drops
Freshens up the green spots
Under the Saturday afternoon oak
That tickle the fresh from shower toes
Wiggling for joy amongst the John Deer grass
Where taste tests start
Out of the Sunday brunch basket
Two drive-in lovers packed
For their dollar store romance
Fresh in from the Marilyn Monroe raindrops
Settling the shallow pools of water waiting
Under the Betty Crocker window

Glistening in Moonlight (day 629)

It is beautiful, your waltzes
That have stars spinning on their toes
They catch my breath in sweet meditation
While the ground parts dirt for each step
Legs glistening in moonlight
With ripples of motion and sensual glances
I hear wind whispering kisses in my ear
The same shouted loud from your eyes
I glide to the rhythm of the night
Waltzing along in the shadow of your breath
Clapping my Italian leather heels to your beat
Sending echoes down the lamp-lit street
Off into muffled sounds of laughter

Bastards of the Sea (day 363)

Lazily I wander around the busy streets
Staring in the eye the man with no feet
I understand that I’m not the only one
With the last of my kind waved goodbye long ago
Perhaps I’ll meet again
With the uninterrupted bastards of the sea
The regular people
Dangling with toes getting cold
Legs running out of peace and happiness
Mind settling into my eyes of change
Distraction falling into the bottle
Memories flashing into the eye
And I, with my hands of change
Wander further into the day

Remember (day 345)

Remember the times when we laughed out as kids?
The sweet songs would hold us, and spin us around
Our toes that tucked under the sand
The sun that beat down as we washed out the day
On our backs in the sun kissed hay

Remember the movies we would catch Friday nights?
We’d close our eyes as we ignored the previews
Annoyed at being shown the future holds more
Anxious for the feature that held the score
We’d hold hands and relax, just as we always did

Remember the music we’d look for and find?
Days spent searching for that perfect line
We’d spend hours in that old music store
Waiting for the cheap deals we knew we could score
You’d look up with excited eyes and we’d both smile

Do you remember dear, where our time has gone?
Where the days have turned to years
And our ways have turned to patterns
Tomorrow lets do something new, unprecedented
Let’s make the story longer, let’s laugh again
