So It Came (part XV) (day 3187)

(part XIV)

But there were still people
Who roamed outside of Safety.
They were the sinners
The witches
The vegabonds
The immoral
They were hunted
And killed upon sight
For it was Fearful
To look them in them in the eye.
They existed as people had existed
Long before Fear had set in
To the hearts of the Fearful.
They hunted for food
That ran wild in more quantity
They grew their own food
In the dirt that crawled
With worms and beetles
Maggots and flies.
They made friends with dogs
And sang to birds
But to be sure they were unsafe
For they were outside of Safety.

(part XVI)

I Can’t Love Anymore (day 378)

I can’t love anymore
It’s been pulled from my sinner
I’ve played it through the wide eyes
Of innocent women
I can’t love any more
It’s time has come
Lost amongst the widowed brides
Thrown down against the rocks
And pushed out with the mornings garbage

For too long I’ve said I’d remember
For too long I’ve cried un-dropped tears
Left for the fall
Left for the hope of one

Below (day 312)

Today I bore the mark of a sinner
I walked alone and stared down the sun
Loaded pistols and switchblades
I left the house of the holy and
Walked through the dungeon of sin

Chains and clasps there littered the walls
Cold and uneven cementing
Picked at by years of torture;
I slept on these floors while I made love
To the angels that floated down from above

Glassy ponds sink dark inside
Uncharted landscape brewing deep below
The art of deception lies in the sheer
The reflection staring out from below
The dormant eyes that call out aloud

Painfully Slow (day 123)

Slammed like a sinner but soaked like a winner
Bored with no detail, intent on the kill
Awaiting the moment of pure carnal expression
The wall remains oblique to the knots in my neck
The wall remains white with unmutilated desire
All bodies aroused, all shiny and doused
Succulent and rectified, mortified and lulled
Home at last. Together & trying to make it last
