I shared my evening with Moon
Who called me out to sing
Amidst the blowing wind, still warm,
Among ten thousand stars aglow.
I sang my song of mystery
That flowed as river flows
Caught in dramatic scenes of adventure
Tales of foreign lands.
Many parts were left as vague
To keep full truths unknown,
A meagre lesson amidst the stars
Who’ve been around once before.
My soul, it spoke through all the smoke
Allegory or not: truisms,
That called me off to bed at last,
A fair sight for evening Moon.

What You Do To Me (day 2554)
I am not the innocence you thought me to be
I’m scarred and torn from the inside out
Been held down and held out and held you in my hand
And I’m not sorry I ever let you in.
See, I’m a Tuesday in a Wednesday dress
Walking slowly with an elegant step
That sings songs of bygone;
A ministry of typewriters click-clacking away,
Mindfully absent, worrying about another day
That’s long past the next Prime Minister’s term.
I spill coffee in my hands to smell the beans,
Leaving a thorough understanding
Of what you do to me.
Though I leave my open door ajar,
I walk past and sing my song.
Skies (day 2552)
Windows rise
Again my eyes
Set towards the North
Sing to me
Ten thousand notes
Bless my heart
With skies
Silver Light (day 2521)
Silver light moves me tonight
Arching through the sky
Singing of a lone coyote
Frogs deep in the marsh
Wisps of firelight
Dancing with dare
And sleepiness finding
A sweet song home.
Angel’s Song (day 2446)
Follow the song midnighting
Loose E with a gravelly D
Low lights are my moonlight
Eek ngn quat khap, khap
Night to beg to marry me
Just one more tune to fill
Sing another beautiful song
I lost my better way along
Rolling into merry land
Assajan carries midnight on
Angel sings into a microphone
Sounds to take me home.
Red Lemonade (day 2444)
You aren’t dragging me down
Though you’re trying real hard
Crystals and Rubies
Lemonade on my soul
Inevitable rhapsody
What’s cruel shan’t grow
This one step facing unequal
We were relying from the start
Expressions contrasting
Fleeting we’ve gone free
Under imagined
This fiery road
If I found it I’d let go
Bloody singing my song
Escapes and hung hinges
Oiling each gear
Red Carbon and Argon
Wide throttle we roll
Secret Song (day 2403)
Who is your secret for
I’m not the open end
Of your favourite song
– So you held me here
Embraced me here
Then let my fingers go –
Play your guitar tonight
Sing along with me
Tap along a little beat
– So you held me here
Embraced me here
Then let my fingers go –
Understanding Darkness (day 2394)
I don’t understand you in darkness
I don’t understand you at night
Sing to me as blinding
I shall remain to forever see
Frontier of a window pain
Aging and dusty rain
Here is my canopy
A gaslight shadowed gray wall
My words unspoken free
And I still cannot see you, darkness.
Monkey Changes (day 2383)
Monkey changes sweet summer night
Lips through darkness my mind free
Red light tropical under the sea
Hello dear friend, hello bass line
Hello turtle shell reverb echo
Overgrown, my weathered seed
Corner darkness and my eager eyes
Whether you come home with me or not
Change my song until it’s dawn
And let me see (sing) you again.
