Diamonds (day 1184)

Don’t believe forever ends
It’s a way to put it right
Diamonds in bright sunlight

And my savior sits on a weathered post
And my savior sits on a weathered post

A toothless grin I cannot see
Holds my left hand agape
A maker for my extra parts

And my savior sits on a weathered post
And my savior sits on a weathered post

Bending my will to fit your skin
Wrapped around with blood and sin
Design a hungry bird’s mouth

And my savior sits on a weathered post
And my savior sits on a weathered post

Replenish Thee (day 609)

I sang out loud for the burden that wasn’t mine
Felt it deep, deep inside this ol’ heart
Sunk me in my despair to my knees
Streaking tears spoiled these dusty cheeks

Halleluiah

The grass that grows ’round my breath
Be it thine savior, blue skies above
Take my sorrow away, reap me of mine madness
Circle thou hands ’round my soul
Carry me away with thee, off to the sea
Where salt will lap at my wounds
Replenish this ol’ heart with vigor
Fill me, and let me free
Of this burden that isn’t mine

Bleeding Bride (day 408)

I watch as your harmony is met with at last
With turmoil not sought, but came none-the-less
You cried for a savior but none did arrive
You laid down and wept then, like a lame bride

But you took care to watch the time
To avoid a recent folly
Out from nowhere did arrive
The winds of a far off land
It was then that crying started
On the spot, in your rags
And all those around you said
Shaking with their heads
There goes a poor maiden’s dream
Unaware as she bled
