Along the ways of window drops
A bird flew out the nest
Cloud came to my very door
And my hair lay flattened down.
Yet every signal
East be at it’s back
Signaled me to rise above
What midnight I had not looked back.
Nor did my animosity
Rumble to a stop
A grinding halting dusty jalopy
My chariot of grim time.
True, each dirt splash lay bare
The deeper grit of sand
Which held my flower to my nose
Thus, bow down low I dearly bade.

Born a Leopard (day 2147)
I was born a leopard
Faster then lightening
With a fierce bite
Family has answers
And I don’t travel in a pack
Let the moon crawl
As each spot upon my back
Snarl in the pale light
This is a silver ghost
And I don’t listen to whispers
Forget we are dancers
Paws in the sand
Rooting like trees
Leaning as the wind goes
And I don’t run without answers
Cold Again (day 1963)
Cancelled my heart
It’s beat away
It’s tracked too soon
Rhythm of our moon
Cold again
At midnight’s glow
And sweet embrace
Has lost it’s grace
For all my mellow
Holds on to sand
Kicks so lost
Cold again.
The Last Frontier (day 1925)
The last frontier
A land without reassurances
Insurances
Propagation and planning
Responsibility
Idealistic values of bequeathing
Handing down
Lost
Forgotten while paying bills
Forgotten while building lists
Forgotten in the lineup
For groceries we could grow
And plastics we don’t need
And products we discard
And inconvenient conveniences.
The last frontier
Pulls back allowances,
Disregards misused rules,
Plays fearless.
The last frontier
Rides the whole wave in
Over what’s screaming and yelling
What’s poking and scraping
What’s pulling at the conscience
To be prepared and out of the moment.
The last frontier
Is the silence at the end
And the symphony in climax,
Gathering speed
And surviving with breath
After all has come, gone,
Realizing everything is as it should,
The heart beats on,
The challenges still arise,
And the feet sink just a little further
Into the soft sand
Beneath toes
That fight for what they believe in.
Ode to the Sand (day 1761)
And if I was caught running
Your wisp would rush my toes
Curling under and in between
To help my source be greater.
You’d call out loud
You’d stop me quick
You’d be my imprint, washed away,
Sea shells, sand dollars, soft glass broken.
And in your fleeting memory –
In my test upon your banks!
Forever cycle into rhythm,
Ebb and flow shall now begin.
I Am So Beautiful (day 1635)
I, I am so beautiful
Land floating on a wing
Sun shares a sweet song
I, I am so beautiful
Mind here at your feet
Shelter in my arms
I, I am so beautiful
Beginning in warm sand
Off into light wind
I, I am so beautiful
Growth upon my limb
Cycles of this land.
Recollection (day 1623)
I had hoped that love would pull us apart,
Out of time and waltzing along
Just our minds as memory.
Take my hand through the old maison,
Let stardust fall, undisturbed;
Glowing embers upon frosted floors.
A heart that thumps clears the air
And cats nearly cry with magical pyre,
Never lost for a memory.
Sun begun laid all that was,
As sand blew ghosts beyond despair
An air of recollection collected there.
Rolling Circles (day 1580)
I am beginning to observe this once again,
One two three one two three one two three.
And your elegance makes my romance
Waltz as a leaf in autumn’s light breeze.
Let this hand be lead for thee,
One two three one two three one two three.
And my pen write again because
Circles rolling down these widening streets.
“Late,” said the bus to a leaning signpost,
One two three one two three one two three.
And if recollections could be the bumblebee
Sun would soak yellow into sands of our memory.
Ashram Day 19 (day 1422)
Morning, morning,
My lovely morning.
Awake with sun
Feet on the run.
Heading highway,
Cause my way
Is gonna be my way.
Lovin easy waves,
Sandy waves,
Easy waves.
Sandy days.
